As riders and online shoppers, we know it can be tough to buy a new bridle or pair of boots without trying them on. That's why we moved the fitting room to your living room (or barn)! From breeches to blankets, if you or your horse can try it on, you can return it, free! Just use the pre-paid return label included in your order within 60 days from the purchase date. And of course, please make sure the item is in like-new condition with original packaging (we said 'fitting room', not 'war room'!).

Did your horse break the leather safety release on his halter? The Replacement Leather Safety Release fits halters with a breakaway on the cheek piece under the buckle (fits our Kensington Breakaway halter).

Made in the USA

Please note, all breakaways halters will release at different degrees of pressure under different circumstances.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for! My daughter's has a plaid halter which lost it's chicago screw. Her dog got a hold of the leather piece before I could get a screw to fix it. Your leather replacement piece was exactly what I needed to fix the halter!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Safety Feature I use these on many halters and will continue to do so. The only reason I rated the durability low is because the product is *meant* to break to protect your horse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have I love these breakaway tabs. They're sturdy enough to hold during normal use and stress, but will absolutely break if needed. I keep a few handy, just in case. You can also use these to convert all-nylon halters to breakaways. Just cut off the nylon strap attaching the buckle to the near cheek ring, and install this tab in its place. If you use non-breakaways, please be sure to never leave them on unattended. My stable recently lost a horse who had a nylon halter left on overnight. If his halter had one of these on it, he would still be alive.
