A classic plate in satin brass or nickel silver, available in two sizes to suit your needs. Standard size fits most Horse and Warmblood Bridles, as well as Pony Halters. Small size is suitable for most martingales. Please refer to measurements below to select which size is best for your needs.

Hardware doesn’t fit
Unfortunately I didn’t read these reviews until after I bought the name plate. The brass fittings didn’t fit through the holes on the nameplate and after my dad drilled them a little bigger I figured out the hardware is to short to fit through the bridle anyway. Now I have 2 holes in my brand new Edgewood bridle.

wrong hardware
the name plate is nice but the hardware is to short sadly ! Now I have a hole in my bridle !! I’m upset but I guess I’ll buy a different one . It’s sad because I waited so long for something to come in that didn’t work

Hardware is a downer
Update: Smartpak tried to fix the hardware issue (posts too short to fit through leather and top covers won’t fit through nameplate hole) but even after then sending longer posts; they weren’t long enough to fit through my bridle and I had to put them in upside down (top covers barely went through leather to attach to post) to get this too fit leaving the nameplate looking a little ‘tacky’ if you will. I already punched holes in my bridle and am plateless for one that fits. I can’t recommend this product for these reasons. It’s not useable in the way it was designed for.

Plate looks fine but can’t use due to hardware
The plate looks fine, I was given two sets of screws but they don’t actually fit through the holes of the plate, nor are they long enough to fit through thick leather. I have gone all over town trying to find screws that will fit this plate with no luck, but this time I’m not even able to use the same plate. I would not recommend for this reason.

OK plate but...
The plate was ok I guess. Really thin brass. The engraving did look super! Smartpak sent me an assortment of rivets to attach to my halter and none of them fit. I had to take my halter to a leather shop and they fixed me right up.

Wrong Hardware
I purchased 2 engraved brass small nameplates for halters. The rivets were to large to fit the nameplate holes. I called to address the need for smaller rivets. Two days later I received a package with more rivets - larger!
Not a good deal and I have engraved nameplates and no way to attach.

Wrong Hardware
I ordered 8 of these and sat down today to put them on my halters and bridles. What a disappointment! The rivets included are too big to fit through the holes on the plates. I now have 8 plates that I can't attach to anything. Now I will have to pay someone else to attach them or go searching for thinner rivets, either way spending extra money because the set does not work together. Very unhappy. Why include hardware that doesn't work with the product?

Looks great, perfect size BUT
These look great and arrived super fast. The small size is perfect for martingales and small bridles. However, I received the wrong hardware (receiving ends) so am unable to attach the nameplate. I was sent extra but unfortunately they are all the wrong size.

Bigger than expected
I had purchased the small bridle nameplate for my horse's new bridle and when it came I was surprised to see just how big it was. It is the same size as the nameplate I have on one of my saddles. I am a little disappointed as I was expecting a much smaller nameplate. Sad to say I won't be putting it on my bridle as I think it will look weird. Also, when it arrived it came in it's own box separate from my order and the box was huge for just one nameplate. It could have easily been sent in an envelope. It was a nice nameplate otherwise. Just keep in mind that they aren't the usual smaller ones that go behind the ear. I think these would work better for a breastplate or martingale or something like that.

Dissapointed
Someone left a review about how the hardware is too large to fit into the bridle plate holes. This definitely was the case. There was no way to even hammer the hardware in as it was just too big. I also already drilled holes into my beautiful new bridle that I had just purchased from this site. I am very upset and taking it to a professional who can hopefully cover the holes but it is not looking good.
Very unhappy with this product. I thought it would be great as I had ordered one of these for my halter and it worked well.

Excellent quality at great price
I have purchased these plates for my bridles and martingales and LOVE THEM. Word of advice: if you want the traditional "bridle plate" that is done on the side, behind the ear, order the "small" size. I found the Large to be more like a Halter plate. Small size is perfect for a bridle and martingale. Super easy to install yourself too.

Hardware Doesn't Fit
After drilling holes in my brand new gorgeous bridle, I've found that the hardware is actually too large to fit into the bridle plate's holes. I've spent another $20 on Chicago screws only to find that those are also too large. Quite displeased with this product. Would not recommend.

Hardware doesn't fit
Although I love this tag the attached hardware (two sets of different rivets) are way to big for the drilled hikes on each end of the plate. Unless I use a drill and increase the hole size it is completely useless!
