Hoof Guard seals nail holes and small cracks in the hoof wall preventing harmful bacteria from entering. Hoof Guard keeps in natural moisture helping to prevent dry brittle hooves. Added UV protection guards against bleaching and surface cracks. formulated with high impact Aramid Fiber similarly used in bullet proof vests strengthens the hoof and helps to prevent quarter cracks and under slung heels.
Application: IMPORTANT – Shake Well to get full benefit of fiber. The hoof should be free of dirt and other contaminants. Apply sealant as needed with large brush avoiding coronary band. Easy one coat application. For brighter and shinier hoofs, wait approximately 1 minute then apply second coat.

Wishing this worked
I had high hopes for this product and decided to give it a go after reading others reviews to strengthen my pony's hooves. Initially I was really impressed with the product as it seemed to really help with hoof hardening, I liked how quickly it dried and how shiny it made his hooves but the smell is very strong. However, after purchasing my second bottle of this my farrier said to stop using as the product as it was just getting gunky when rasping. Also, I started to notice that if you were very consistently using the product you could immediately tell where on the hoof some had worn off and it looked really weird. Really hoped to like this product.

Live in the south with sandy soil which dries out the hoof. Use this to retain moisture in the feet which keeps quarter cracks at bay!! Excellent product

Helped my TB!
I’ve been using this for the past 3 months to try and help my thin-soles TB mare who loves to pull shoes and chip large chunks of hoof off her toes and it’s been magical!
My farrier recommended the “other” product but I ended up grabbing this in a pinch when I couldn’t find the other and it’s been amazing, I’ll never switch!
We had just pulled shoes and started her on this heading into the winter and shoe-sucking mud season so I’m anxious to see if this helps her keep her shoes on when we start putting them back on this spring. Her feet look strong, solid, and healthy now...so far no abscesses either from our crazy wet winter (which she normally develops 1-2/winter).

Excellent for TB feet!
This is the best product I have ever used on my TB whose feet are the perfect trifecta of white, flat, and thin-soled. His front shoes stay on and his un-shod rear feet show very minimal chipping.

No more lost shoes!!
Amazing stuff! Nothing else has worked to help keep my gelding’s shoes on. I used to use Gorilla tape to keep shoes on during turnout, and still lost shoes routinely. Have not lost a shoe in over a month with this amazing product!

Great hoof toughener
This product... Kevlar...is tough to find...it's terrific and a real steal compared with the more expensive product on the market...you know the one I mean...works equally well as that other product. Especially great for sealing nail holes to keep out excess moisture and toughening soles

Extremely effective!
Simply the best product we have ever used. It has transformed one of our OTTBs with conformationally challenged feet.
It has also been super useful helping horses migrate from shod to barefoot and supporting hoof growth for the new horses who come in with damaged hoofs.

Great product
I’ve been using this product for almost a month on my mare and it has helped her feet. A little bit of background, my mare is an OTTB with really bad feet. I always know when the farrier is due to come out by how bad her feet look. She’s also very sensitive to rocks. She’s not a good candidate for shoes because she’s terrified when the nails are hammered into her foot. She’s had soft hooves lately. I used this product because I wanted her feet to harden a little without going overboard. After about 3 weeks, I noticed that she’s not as sensitive on the rocks as she used to be. Due to covid, it took a bit of time to get it after I ordered, so it didn’t help prevent any chipping or cracking. They had already started that. Overall, it’s a great product and does help protect the feet from absorbing extra moisture. Now, for the bad. I didn’t see it prevent any chips or cracks. Again, my mare does have terrible feet and they had already started to chip. While you can tell how long it stays on due to the shine it adds to their feet, it didn’t seem to last longer than 48 hours. I’m putting it on every other day. I don’t know if that’s just my experience, or if that’s how often you should be applying it. It seems like it takes a full minute for it to dry on her foot. I know because I set the timer on my phone. There were times where, even after a minute, it wasn’t dry. But it could be because I put too thick of a coat on. Overall, I’ll definitely keep using it for her. This is really the 1st topical that I’ve tried and seen results. I’m also interested to see if, now that she’s freshly trimmed, if it’ll help protect her feet from chipping.

GREAT STUFF!
This has really helped my Preliminary event horse’s hooves. The stress of jumping and conditioning really tears his feet up. This is the only product I’ve found that truly slows the hoof deterioration. I put it in every other day.

A Must-Have in Your Hoof Care Arsenal
I absolutely love this product! I have been using it for years on my horses. It makes a huge difference when it comes to the lovely creatures who can’t seem to keep their shoes on! It lasts for days with one application. For shows, I apply it after applying hoof oil for a blinding sheen! Anyone who has horses that can’t keep shoes on needs to have this product

Great hoof hardener
Bought this for my barefoot draft after his hoofs started to crack/peel and soften. This is a great product, I apply once to twice a week on lower half of hoof (never at the hairline). His hoofs are strong, never crack anymore, this product does what it says and stays put for days at a time. Only con is the smell is a bit strong.

Magic in a bottle!
I literally live in a swamp of SETX and have never been able to keep shoes on my show horses. If I'm showing my mare, she always had to stay in a stall unless I wanted her shoes sucked off in the mud. She is at 6 weeks and due for a new set but still has her shoes thanks to this product, EVEN SLIDERS! Its amazing at strengthening the hoof wall and sealing up nail holes and cracks. My sweet girl can now enjoy 12hrs a day turned out.

Best sealant ever!
This product is a game changer. After extensive searching for something to help my OTTB's hooves who couldn't hold a shoe on more than about 2 weeks I decided to give this a try. WOW! This product is amazing! After only a few shoeing cycles his feet look amazing and his shoes stay on forever now.

Helps prevent thrush
I bought this to see if it would help prevent a little bit of thrush and was not disappointed. Holds up well to daily wear and tear of pasture living. I like that you know it's still on the hooves the next day after application. It smells a bit like rubber glue, but as it dries the smell goes away.
