My favorite breeches!
I started out by buying these breeches used, as I was a bit wary and they were over my usual Piper-based price point. Now that I have, I'm never going back! I love the front and back pockets on these breeches, as well as the lovely fabric that provides a little stretch without sagging. I always find that Piper breeches sag in the butt and I've had these breeches for a couple years at least and except for minor pilling, they hold up fantastic as long as you wash them per instructions. I have 5 pairs of these breeches, they’re that good!!

Size chart is way off
I'm a plus sized rider and finding anything that fits is a chore. I looked at the size chart and took my measurements. I appeared to be a little bigger than the biggest size, but I was hoping the fabric stretch gods would let me squeeze in these beaches. I got them and they were HUGE. Like if I let go of the waist, they would just fall off. Sent them back and ordered 2 sizes smaller. If I went by the chart, I shouldn't be able to get these zipped. In reality, they are still roomy at the waist.would be fine with a belt. The disappointing part is the fit through the thighs. Wrinkles and folds of loose fabric hanging off. I haven't tried them with tall boots, but I think they would bunch up behind the knee. Just not what I expected for breeches in this price range.

Perfect for schooling
The Hadley Mid-Rise Breeches by SmartPak are an awesome value! These breeches are super comfortable and fit very true to size. I love the sock bottoms and water-resistant finish that allows dirt and hair to brush right off. The Hadley Mid-Rise Breeches by SmartPak are my new go-to schooling breeches for long days at the barn!

My Favorite Breeches!
These are my favorite breeches for everyday riding. They are a stretchy softshell material and are also great because dust, dirt and even poultice or other stains brush right out. The material is lightweight, but still has a good amount of structure to them. They are very breathable and moisture-wicking, so are a great option even for riding on hot summer days. I absolutely love the material and how comfortable it is. I can wear these breeches all day long at barn and then even go run errands in them after. They move with you both in and out of the saddle and are not restrictive in anyway and I’ve never had any issues with them slipping down or gapping. They are also super durable, I’ve had pairs for years that I regularly use and they’re in great condition. I also just love the overall look of them, very traditional looking with the euro-seat design, but also still very functional. They also come in a nice variety of colors. The front pockets are large enough to hold my phone, which I love.
These are super easy to care for, I just throw them in the wash on cold with all my breeches and hang to dry. I typically wear a size 26 in breeches and that’s what I wear in these and they fit me perfectly. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a comfortable pair of breeches for schooling.

New Favorite Breeches
I love these schooling breeches. Super comfy material, like Nike dry fit. The butt pockets fit my iPhone 8 Plus completely and are off to the side so they don’t hit my saddle. I think they are a little more forgiving and stretchy than the Piper line.

Great fit! Plenty of flattering pockets! Plus they wear like iron. I now have a pair in every color, and they are my favorite schooling breeches. I love that I can throw them in the washer and dryer and they look as good as new with no special care.

Great Fabric & Fit
I love these breeches! They are a great mid-weight that you can wear on a cooler summer day as well as a relatively cold day without getting too hot or too cold. The material itself is stretchy and I find it to be most similar to Romfh breeches. Speaking of the material, it is wonderful for equestrians as it is stain-resistant. From slobber to coffee spills, a damp rag will take it all off which is a huge bonus, especially for horse shows! I have multiple pairs of Hadley breeches that I wear for schooling as well as showing. The front pockets are a bit too small to fit a phone in but still have plenty of room for essentials like treats and a roll of black electrical tape (can you tell I wear these to horse shows?). I normally wear a 26R in jeans, Pipers, Tailored Sportsman Breeches, etc., and am also a 26R in my Hadley Breeches as well. Just like the rest of my tights and breeches, I wash my Hadley Breeches inside out in cold water and let them air dry. These breeches are versatile and low maintenance and a perfect addition to any riding wardrobe.

Runs Very Small
I wear a 38R in Pipers and a 36R in TS Trophy Hunters. I ordered these in 38R and I couldn’t even get them over my butt. My friend who is 34R struggled to get them on. As soon as I took them out of the package I was worried about the waist. The fabric is nice and it is stretchy. And the charcoal color is a lovely grey purple. But the sizing is just way off. Sending back and paying extra for another pair of TS.

First pair was awesome, second was horrible.
I bought my first pair of these breeches in the brown and I absolutely love them, they’re my favorite pair of breeches, my go to, I wear them more than any other pair because of how comfortable they are. So, I decided to buy another pair in the same size, different color. unfortunately, the second pair was nothing like the first. I bought the same size, but the fit is so far off that I’ve worn them once and refuse to put them on again. I kept them thinking they just needed to be worn in, stretched, maybe washed, unfortunately none of that fixed them and now I’m stuck with an expensive pair of breeches that I’ll never wear again.
The breeches are a lovely color, fit well on my calves and thighs, but once they get to my waist it’s like they were made a completely different size. They’re so tight around the pockets and the zipper and make me bulge in the most awkward places. Just below my waist they seem the right size, but the zipper and the waistband had to have been the wrong size or something. It’s incredibly difficult to get them to zip even though they aren’t tight in that area until I try to zip them up. It’s hard to explain, but there’s just no way they were made properly. I have loved all of my Smartpak breeches until these, I’ve never hated a pair of breeches more than this pair, which really sucks because I love the color. I absolutely would have recommended these if I had only bought my first pair, but after buying my second I can’t recommend these when the sizing varies so much.
