As riders and online shoppers, we know it can be tough to buy a new bridle or pair of boots without trying them on. That's why we moved the fitting room to your living room (or barn)! From breeches to blankets, if you or your horse can try it on, you can return it, free! Just use the pre-paid return label included in your order within 60 days from the purchase date. And of course, please make sure the item is in like-new condition with original packaging (we said 'fitting room', not 'war room'!).

The Wool Deluxe Classic Half Pad has a rolled edge in front and back for a secure fit. Made with billet straps. Wool  is a 3-dimensional protective fiber that forms pockets of air quickly wicking away moisture. Wool’s natural springiness relieves pressure points and provides soothing support and naturally soothes muscles aches. Wool absorbs and releases heat buildup, holds its shape, cleans easily and is extremely durable. Can absorb up to 1/3 its weight in moisture. Thermal regulating properties naturally pull heat away from your horse’s back.

Machine washable, gentle cycle in cold water. Spin to remove water. Gently pull into shape and lay flat to finish drying. Do not dry in machine or in direct sunlight.

70% sheepskin, 30% Polyester.

One size fits saddles 16½” to 18".
Spine measures 19½” (24½” w/fleece).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent All-Around Pad Though I cannot speak for the durability of this pad as I've only had it for a few weeks, I love it so far! It appears as if it will last a long time too. I didn't buy this pad for an ill-fitting saddle, so though the padding may be thinner than a more expensive half-pad, it was perfect for what I needed! Love that it has a clear spine channel for your horses' comfort. It cleans up well, I accidentally dropped it in the dirt but it dusted off as is as white as ever! My saddle is a 16.5" all-purpose, and the pad fits it decently. It also improved my riding, I felt much more comfortable in the saddle and I think my horse appreciated the extra padding as well. We're both happy campers with this half pad :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Half Pad for a Nice Price The ECP Wool Deluxe Classic Half Pad runs thinner than most other wool or fleece half pads, but still provides a nice layer of cushion between the saddle and a baby pad. The rolled edges in front and back are a nice style feature. My half pad has held up nicely so far after multiple rides. For someone who wanted a half pad, but couldn't invest in a pricier one, this half pad was the perfect catch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice value! As others have said, this pad is not very thick (but that's what I was looking for). It's simple & attractive without being bulky. Quality seems superb and durable. Fits my 17" saddle well - see photo. For the price, you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pad A great purchase. Cleans up well and ffers my horse just the right amount of padding for his long back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functional, midweight wool pad. I would consider this pad a good value, however, it is not one of those exceptionally poofy wool pads that are often used to make up for a slightly ill-fitting saddle. I was looking for something with less bulk, so this works great for me! I do like that there is a clear spine channel for the comfort of your equine being. I've used it under 16.5" and 17" jump saddles and felt it was appropriately sized. I previously had a Mattes pad and a Thinline Trifecta pad that seems to stick out WAY too much behind the saddle, despite ordering the recommended size. Occasionally, I've used this in conjunction with a regular ThinLine pad for "the best of both worlds."

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not happy with this half pad I've used many different types of half pads and decided to purchase this one because I was tired of sheepskin fleece pads. It doesn't fit right and is very thin. Would not recommend. Just waiting for it to get really dirty and get a different brand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Half Pad For the money the quality is ok. The pad is a little thinner then I would have liked, doesnt provide the comfort that I had hoped for. Oh well still an ok buy for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pad for the Money This pad is well made. This difference between it and the higher end sheepskin pad is the loft of the wool. These sheep had shorter growth, or they clipped it post "harvest." If you need it for extra protection, it works great. If you need it to compensate for a not-so-perfect saddle fit, it might not work because it doesn't have a shim effect. Of course, it doesn't advertise that, either. I needed slightly more lift in the back. I found that my saddle felt uphill still. But this is just one horse/saddle combination.
