Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lots of powder I was quite excited to use this for my older senior horse, when i got it and saw how much sand like powder he would have to eat twice a day, he did eat most of his meal so i added sweet feed to help still wasnt a fan. Wish i knew it was a very fine powder before buying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Bought it for a specific horse who wouldn't eat it. So I figured OK, let me try it on another less picky horse. Nope. So then just to see I offered it to the one that eats everything. NOPE. Terrible. It's also a rather large portion of a dusty powder. Worst part is when I emailed Smartpak they basically told me to try molasses or another flavoring to mask the taste .. really? You want me to pour molasses on this powder and make a sticky ball of goo? I seriously doubt that would be any more appetizing. These horses don't need pure molasses poured on their feed, no thank you. I thought Smartpak stood behind their products but this was not the case.

I tried another guaranteed weight gain supplement x 6 weeks with only modest improvement (along her daily feed supplement). After using EndurExtra for a little over a month, I have seen massive gains--she is almost back to her pre-move weight. Very palatable, easy to feed, and well worth the investment.

I have gone down the route of other fat supplements before but, after using this for 6 months, certainly feel like this is the best bang for the buck. It isn't the cheapest, but with the direct fed microbials and vitamin E I feel it certainly has the best value.

For years I mixed rice bran with countless other things bc nothing was comparative in a feed to get the desired ratios of fat and protien. Even then I still couldnt come close to what this offers me in a simple top dressing over my horses normal feed. Amazing results for both my 24 yr old quarter horse who needed weight and muscle mass as well as my 14 yr old thoroughbred who's weight is fine but just is in a lot of work so wanted to keep him in good flesh over the winter here in central Pennsylvania. Love it!

Works nicely for the senior, hard-to-keep-weight on horse. Very palatable, but even if you add water and make a drench, it's still a lot in a small volume.
