easy to use, nice conditioning treatment
This balsam is soft and easy to apply all over my saddle. The leather looked smooth and restored from a bit of dust and dryness (normal use). I liked it. Smelled bit like the sweetness of pipe tobacco, actually kind of nice faint aroma in my tack shed!

Effax Leather Balsam
I purchased this leather conditioner to use in the winter time. I keep it at the barn and because the tack room is cold most other conditioners become too solid to use without warming them up first. Effax stays soft and easy to apply. It does a great job of keeping leather pliable. I use a paper towel to apply it. Can't use a sponge
because it's almost impossible to rinse it out without using soap.

Awesome, strong smell
This is the first leather product I’ve used that I feel really absorbs into and conditions the leather. I use it on my field boots and my new saddle to help break it in. A little goes a surprisingly long way. I really like this product. The only thing is the smell is quite strong, but not unpleasant. My new saddle smells like this product instead of leather now, and my hands smell like it for a day after using it. Would give it 4 stars because of the strength of the smell, but I like the product so much I still give it 5 stars.

On par with expensive conditioners
I got this to replace the not so easily accessible CWD or Antares conditioner that I always run out of, and I'm happy that I gave it a try! It really conditions my tack nicely and it leaves a nice finish. I will continue to buy this vs the more expensive stuff.

Favorite Conditioner

I use this on tack and on my leather tall boots! It works wonders towards cleaning and suppling the leather. It can get a little greasy on your hands, but it’s annoying enough that I wouldn’t get this again. Will definitely be buying more!

if I'm being honest, the tack at my barn kinda sucks. they have some stuff there for us to clean our tack but its not the best. I finally decided to buy my own cleaner and conditioner and this is definently much much better than what I was using before. it shined my saddle so well I hardly recognised it! I also used this on my bridle but I wouldnt recomend using this on the reins because it made them considerably more slippery, even though I let it soak in overnight. I would recomend this to anyone who wants some extra protection and shine on their tack, it's perfect for shows too!

Very easy to put on!
I used this on my tall boots and it shined them up nicely and brought them back to life. Absolutely love this product! Super easy to apply, I just used a soft towel and rubbed it into my boots.

Works beautifully!
I'm super bad about Cleaning my tack because I have sooo much... Spent 17 hours on a rainy day cleaning 4 saddles, 6 pairs of boots and a huge tote full of bridles and everything came out so soft! It took half of the large size but it worked beautifully!

Love the softness it adds to my leather
I have really loved how the Effax Leather Balsam has added softness and flexibility back to my tack. I clean my tack regularly and began added this after I clean, and together it has brought my tack back to that nice new feeling (yet softer!). I will buy this again.

Excellent product for leather care.
I love this stuff. I was given a sample just over a year ago. A little goes a long way! I have used it on saddles, purses, shoes just about everything. It works really well and smells great. I picked up a used (and tired) Stubben at a consignment sale. With a good dose of this Effax, that Stubben has been restored and has become my favorite saddle. This is easy enough to use that I was able to literally put a final polish on my daughters boots as I walked and she rode to the show ring. A great product.

Won't use anything else
I've been using Leder Balsam for years, and while I often try new products, I always come back to it. It's the only thing I will put on my (very expensive) saddles, and I use it on anything leather. It rehabs sad looking leather really well, and leaves things soft, pliable, and it smells great too!

My favorite saddle oil!
I've tried a lot of conditioners on my beloved Devoucoux, but this is my favorite! It's light enough to fully absorb and not leave a residue, but thick enough to leave it nice and grippy!
