Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't Last My husband bought me these for my birthday to replace an old pair from a different brand, but unfortunately they didn't even last 6 months. They were great while they lasted - super waterproof, comfortable to wear all day for teaching, riding, and chores, but the liner started to rip maybe 2 months in which made it difficult to take them off. The liner fully separated after about 5 months, which made them completely unwearable. Not only did it take 5 solid minutes to get them off of me (with A LOT of husband help), but it would be impossible to even get them back on, not to mention off again. Super disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Absolute Go-To Boot! Without sounding incredibly dramatic, I am honestly not sure what I would possibly do without these boots. To say I live in these would be an understatement, and I’ve never owned a pair of boots that compares. I find these boots to be so useful and durable, which in the horse world is obviously a very necessary quality. I owned the previous version of this boot (Dublin River Boot II) for 8 years until I finally busted a hole in the side, and I have high hopes that this pair will last at least that long if not longer. The leather remains very waterproof just as advertised, and I definitely think it is hard to find a leather boot that is truly as waterproof as durable as advertised. This boot keeps me relatively warm in the winter but is also wearable in the summer time without completely suffocating my foot and lower leg in the heat. Over the years, I have found that I can wear this boot all day to work outside, ride, and walk to the dog, and I am just as comfortable as I was when I started the day. If I have any drawback to this boot, it would be that it is not the best height if you are tall, but clearly it is doable and has not stopped me from repurchasing and living in these boots nonetheless. I am 5’10”, and these hit me about 3-3 ½ inches below my knee once the boots break in and fall a bit. That being said, I don’t mind or notice it much; it is mostly just noticeable when riding, but I don’t find that it hinders me necessarily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great boot except… I have had these 2 years now, and love them but unfortunately don’t wear them much because I have such a hard time getting them off. Sizing is fine, comfortable and the perfect boot I would pull on everytime I go out the door, whether to the barn or to town but not long after getting them, the inner sock liner became loose at the heel and I can hardly get them off. If I plan ahead to wear them, i wear thin socks and put foot powder in the foot, and still have to use a boot jack and patience to get them off. Before I got them a friend told me this happened to hers, and I see another review with the same issue. Maybe Dublin can come up with a solution? Or an improvement in design?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't Last Long These are my second pair and just like the first pair the liner inside the boot detached around my heel and I could barley get the boot off. I'm not sure why this seems to keep happening as I do not wear them everyday and they still look brand new on the outside. Otherwise I do love these boots but will not be purchasing another pair.

But I’m on my 4 th or 5th pair now, ordered the same size I always have and my toes hit the front. I had to wear them once already so I don’t think I can return them. I should have gone a size up but then I feel the calf gets too big. Love how waterproof they stay but I’m not sure I can handle the too small size. ☹️

These are my everyday work and riding boots since I am on my feet working at an equine rescue all day. I was hopeful that these would stans up. May possibly return and try another pair and give these boots another shot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What Happened? Not waterproof I don't understand. I had an exact pair of these that look like they went through the shredder. Lasted 6 years up until they actually TORE and were no longer waterproof. I recommended them to all my barn friends and anyone else who needed a pair of reliable waterproof boots. I live in the Pacific Northwest and we have rain, mud and snow. These pair, for whatever reason are not waterproof. On top of that one of them rubs my heel raw if I wear them for more than three hours. These are not waterproof and can chew up your feet. To my fellow broke equestrians who have to work off everything to be able to ride: Look somewhere else. I'm so disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Size issues These do indeed have the sizing issues that others have noted. The foot size runs very small - about 1 size too small I would say in length. The Calves are also huge on these boots. The color was correct though - I ordered 'dark brown' and it came similar to how it's pictured on the website. The quality and other features are average for the price point.
