Super Comfortable - Not Durable
I have had these for all of four months and the zipper on the right boot is already broken. The boots are comfortable and good for summer, so they've been fine.. but the fact that within 4 months of like light-to-moderate use they're essentially broken is frustrating since they're priced the same as any other entry-level tall boot. I don't expect the boots to last forever, but like at least a year unless there's a ton of wear, but as an adult amateur that is riding 3-4x per week at most, and in the boots for maybe a few hours at a time, it's just a bit silly that they're that poorly constructed. On top of that, while i appreciate that these are so comfy they'd be terrible in a winter condition/colder climate. The way the boot comes together on top means that they would get soaking wet should you have to go through puddles/be in any kind of weather. As much as it pains me to say, because i so wanted to love these, I would not recommend.

Too hot to wear in the sun even on mild days
I bought these boots for my daughter and they burn her feet and legs when riding in the sun in only the 80s. She has to constantly have water poured over them to keep them cool but then the water gets inside and causes other problems. Do not buy unless only using inside or winter months. Otherwise, she loves them.

Fair quality but comfortable
I’ve been wearing my Ascents for about a month. The foot and most of the non mesh part of the boot is rubber and gets very hot around the top of the foot. They were easy to break in. My only major complaint is that the “tongue” in the heel of the boots does not stay up for more than a few minutes and then I end up standing on it, which is not comfortable.

Comfortable lightweight but not durable
These boots are comfortable and Uber light weight. Easy to clean with a damp cloth. The zippers never were sturdy and one of the zippers broke after less than 90 days. Also, the zippers do not stay up very well and they will migrate down towards the heels during your ride.

Sneaker-like comfort!
I've been wearing these for maybe a month now, and they are VERY VERY comfortable from the get-go. I was skeptical because there is no real leather, but so far, so good. The stick and bend are great. I hope they hold up for a long time. I think, given that they are long top sneakers with no real leather, the price is a bit steep. Otherwise, these are the most comfortable schooling boots I've ever worn.

Comfortable boot, stupid design
I do like these boots, however when I purchased these I didn't realize that the top of the boots and the spur rest were reinforced with velcro instead of the traditional snaps. The tops of these things WILL NOT stay shut, which means the zippers come down too. I have to use heavy duty duct tape to keep them in place. They're less than 3 months old... I get putting the velcro at the bottom, there's no bend there and your spurs should keep it shut, but putting velcro right behind your knee? That's just stupid. My bad for not looking at the boots more closely on the website I bought them from, but come on ariat, don't skimp on necessities just to save a few bucks... Everything else about these is great, I'm a trainer and can wear them all day long and they're super comfortable. Just extremely annoying that I can't keep the tops closed and the zippers from coming down...

Want to like them more
I bought these a few months ago and wore them around the house before deciding I was keeping them. The don’t come in a short for my size and was a little unsure of the height at the back of me knee and on my kneecap. Other than that, was pleased with how they felt overall. I decided last week to finally take them for a test drive and wore them this week also. They’re comfortable before my ride, and even while riding, the height, turns out, is not a bother any longer. The new issue is that I can feel the material around my ankle does not stay tight and my foot moves a bit. Once out of the saddle, the small flap at the bottom of the boot that helps the zipper zip up has completely fallen down below my foot. this causes the back of the zipper to cut into the back of my ankle and is not comfortable at all. I have to unzip the boot, pull the flap back up in order to stop the irritation. Although there is a lot to like about them, for the price, I would have hoped I wouldn’t have an issue like this. My previous boots have a much more robust cover, and it does not move or slip. For me, if the cost of having a “slipper like” boot means things aren’t as tight and that’s where the discomfort comes, I think I’d prefer a boot that has more structure. My last comment is around durability; nothing to speak of yet, but I will be interested to see how these wear.

Disappointed.
When I ordered my Ascent tall boots I was quite excited by the description and the possibility of a boot that would be able to handle the level of walking and riding that I perform on a daily basis. Upon opening the box, I felt that I had "hit the nail on the head". I was wrong. After wearing the boots through a normal work day I am left feeling like they are made cheaply. The materials wear like they will not make it thought the week, much less a month or more. I am completely disappointed.

I just got my pair of boots ...perfect fit...look great and are cool because of the full length venting material....best of all if comfort...so sift and supple....very happy...best get yourself a pair!

Feet on fire, boot is unbreathable.
I'm a trainer in southern AZ. I ride three to seven horses a day depending on my lesson load. I was looking for a riding boot that had fit and all day comfort. Without a doubt these are the most comfortable tall boot and much more comfortable than a paddock and half chap. I love the flexible ankle and comfortable foot bed. HOWEVER, for a boot that is supposed to be breathable, THIS IS NOT IT. When the sun hits this boot it feels like my feet are actually on fire. These boots are synthetic, not leather, and when the sun hits my foot while in the stirrup or in the arena it heats up and is almost unbearable. My feet feel like they are too close to an electrical heater. It's painfully hot and we haven't even gotten to the summer heat yet in AZ. I'm not sure I'll make through the summer in these boots. Did Ariat not product test these in hot and sunny climates? It is a shame because they are so comfortable. It'll be interesting to see how these wear in the long term. I worry the velcro and fabric will wear out with my frequent use, but that is TBD.

Comfortable boot, stupid design.
I, for the most part, like these boots a lot. They feel like sneakers, they were easy to break in with all the mesh on them. However the STUPIDEST part of these is that instead of having the normal snap closures at the back of the knee and at the heel like all other boots known to man they cheaped out and used velcro of all things. And not heavy duty velcro. Now, my bad for not reading the description more carefully, but common, even for being cheap boots the velcro is just silly. And the velcro wouldn't be awful if it stayed put. I close my leg at all or bend my knee to much and it comes undone. The only reason the bottom ones don't is because my spurs keep them in place. A very silly feature.

Amazing tall boots!
I bought these last week and have ridden in them twice. They were so comfortable from the second I put them on. I am normally tall in tall boots but got a regular in these as my local tack shop didn't have a tall (I'm 5'10" and mostly legs for reference). They are tall enough right now and I'll be curious to see how much they drop as they are not a typical boot. I may buy another pair once I figure that out because they are probably the best boot I've ever put on! I jumped in them and my knees usually get supper sore are hurt when I get off, to the point where I hobble around for a few minutes after, and with these, my knees felt great! I will be curious about how long they last and how they wear but so far they are just what I wanted for schooling every day. Lastly, I found them to run about a half size big. I am typically a 9.5 to a 10 and in these, I got a 9 which seems to fit well as they are meant to fit like a sneaker and be snugger on your foot. if you are between sizes I recommend sizing down in the foot. (I didn't rate the quality as I haven't had them long enough)

Great support!
I'm a volunteer at a therapeutic riding center and bought these for days when I was going to ride and assist in classes, which means a TON of walking. So far, they've provided as much comfort and breathability as my paddock boots, plus much-needed extra support for my weak ankles. There definitely was a break-in factor--I probably shouldn't have walked almost 2 miles in them the first night I wore them--but several wears later, they're nice and comfortable. Just waiting to see how they feel in the middle of a hot Kentucky summer!

So comfortable!
Bought these boots a month ago but from the first wear they were so comfortable. Was a bit hesitant at first as they are not leather but would definitely recommend them. And just a quick wipe after wearing without all the worry of leather care.

No break in needed! Super comfortable!
I bought these 3 weeks ago, they are true to size and absolutely incredibly comfortable. There is no break in you can instantly get full angle in your ankle and they are perfectly snug to you calf without all the loose bits of leather since they aren't "custom". I absolutely love these boots, have been showing everyone at my barn and plan to get another pair to keep for show boots!

Super comfortable
These are the most comfortable boots, out of the box. The material is lightweight and cool, and the footbed is so comfortable. My only complaint is that the zipper is secured with velcro instead of a heavy snap like my other Ariat boots. I didn't think a thing of it until my first ride in them, when I found I hadn't secured the velcro under my knee perfectly and so the zipper slid down a bit as I rode, creating a massive rub on my saddle leather. It was admittedly user error, but I would rather have a snap there instead of velcro that can be lined up wrong, get dirty or lose grip over time. On my second ride I was careful to line up the velcro perfectly and had no further issues.

Love them very comfortable
Very comfortable did ride in them yesterday a first time. I took 40 are normal 39 and they are 1,5 size to big but I wanted them to be really comfy riding boots. Feels like sneakers. I rode 3 hours and the last hour the zipper went down on both maybe I did something wrong. In the taxi home they were so so comfy nothing pushed on my feet love it. I don’ want or like the feel of feeling my normal shoes so this is great. There was no riding in time so this is great for me. Comfy from the start. Also comfy when sittning down fixing the horses legs. I orderd both the tall boots and the paddock boots plus chaps but the paddocks boots were to tight over my foot. Inside nice but the top of my foot hurt. So maybe if you are slim they will fit. Inside of paddock boot felt great in size 39 and I am 39 so I could probably have 39 in the tall boots too but needed them this week. Great new invention for athletes love the tall boots! When the paddock boots come with a less tight knit and or a zipper I will buy them too!! For slimmer feets the paddock boots will fit very comfy! Get the tall boots very comfy like sneakers!

Love it !!!
I am 54 years old, I am back on the saddle after 25 years without riding, I am a show jumper/ eventer so for me confort is a priority. After trying different designs and sizes I finally kept the Ariat Vsport and the Ascent. Both design are very sporty looks so if you are looking for a more conventional look these are not for you. I found the Ascent tall boots extremely comfortable on the feet and on the calf, no break in time, from the box to the saddle, easy to clean....I have no idea if they are going to last cos I just got them.

Beyond comfortable!!
These are the most comfortable tall boots I have ever worn. I ordered my normal size in Ariat and they fit great, a bit looser around the ankle than expected but the calf fits nice. The material has a lot of stretch so size down if you are in between. Can't wait to see how these handle wear!!

Most comfortable tall boot!
I love the sporty look of these plus there’s no break in time. I tried on the Ascent paddock boots and thought they fit a bit small but the tall boots are true to size and I fit in the same size as the Heritage Contours. I can’t attest to durability yet but I’m optimistic!
