progressively downhill - too bad
I bought my first Ariat Devon boots way back when they first came out - AMAZING. Every time I bought them again over the next decade they were worse; not as well made, not as supportive. Now I have to find another brand. Unfortunately they went the same way as many other companies and ruined a good quality product for a cheaper version while charging more.

I bought these boots about 2 years ago - sounds like they’ve lasted however I have literally only rode in them. Don’t wear them to get horses in from the field, muck out or even tack up. They are literally just put on before I get on and i’m not riding multiple horses every day.
They are now starting to split and leather is wearing away. Compared to other boots I’ve had the sole has lasted pretty well tho.
For the money and the amount of wear mine have had I’d be reluctant to buy another pair.

Impossible to break in, blisters every time
No matter what I do, these boots give me blisters. The leather in the heel is impossibly stiff no matter what I do (leather conditioner, stretching). I had the oven up paddock boots for years and thought the zipper would be an easier upgrade, but I can’t make a full ride without getting blisters. So disappointing.

Don't last
My first pair only lasted two months they started falling apart, went through warranty and got a new pair and in two months falling apart again. My Danher lasted 16-24 months and my Devon Pros lasted a year to 14. That is all day everyday wear and tear.

Very poor quality
I feel better now after seeing other negative reviews of Ariat nitro paddock boots. I bought these over the summer at the Smartpak store in Natick, which I love. Pretty pricey for a pair of paddock boots, and the heel is ugly, but I needed a pair after I couldn't keep repairing my previous pair. I'm an adult, I rarely muck stalls, only wear these when I'm riding or at the barn, which isn't even every day. The stitching on the toe box is already falling apart so much that I can slide fingers in. Pretty sure this is my last pair of Ariat boots. For this price point we should expect a longer life span than a few months.

Worst shoe I ever purchased
This shoe tore up my feet and back when I wore them. I bought this pair in Aug and wore them only 2-3 hours per day. By Oct the show was wore out land leaking. I miss the good shoes this company use to make.

Ariat boots, not what they used to be!
I am so incredibly sad to write this review. I bought my first pair of Ariat boots about 22 years ago. It seemed like my first pair lasted forever, years and years. I loved the comfort and support as well. Once my first pair finally wore out, I of course bought new Ariat boots. Each pair lasted a shorter and shorter time. Within the last 2 years, I purchased a pair of Nitros thinking ok I'll buy the most expensive pair and see if they are a better quality. That did not work at all, they only held up 6 months. I followed up with a second pair, cheaper, again only lasted 5 months. I wear these boots all day and I have started having all sorts of problems with my feet now which I never experienced before. I have actually started asking my barn friends, hey where else can I find paddock boots that are the same quality as the OLD style Ariat boots. I am so sad because I love Ariat! I still love the Ariat softshell jackets, PLEASE do not change them and bring back the quality of the boots. I would gladly pay more for the old quality.

Lack of Foot/Ankle Support
I bought these boots roughly a year ago. They are beautiful and I get lots of compliments on them. However about 6 months ago I started having a great deal of ankle pain when I wear them, and realized there is a significant lack of support/stability for my feet & ankles - they tend to "wobble" as I walk in these boots. I had previously bought Devons and loved them, they lasted at least three years - I will try those again.

Quaility is poor, not like old Ariats
I WAS a big fan of Ariat boots, always bought them, until now. The entire heal came off, just unglued. I rode in them about 2 times a week for 11 months,, this should not happen. I called Ariat, sent picture, etc, and they did nothing. The customer service just blew me off,, really bad. I am done with Ariat.

stiff and uncomfortable
These are actually my first pair of paddock boots and I'm finding them extremely stiff and uncomfortable. I had them professionally fitted and the top edge of the boot whether zipped up or even left half undone still rubs harshly on my leg causing blisters. I've tried wearing thicker sock even over the top edge and still these boots just seem to have zero give.

Best boots ever!
These were a gift for my Granddaughters 18 th birthday. She was so thrilled with them. Said they fit perfect and in her words "Nana these are a game changer"! She told me several people have seen her wear them and asked where she got them. She said she looks good on the horse now! I couldn't be more pleased.

Disappointed
I'd been wearing Devon Pros for years, as a barn manager , constantly on my feet, and tough on paddock boots, it was worth spending a few extra dollars for good boots. When Ariat re-styled them, I bought a pair expecting the same quality. These seemed flimsy right out of the box, and far less supportive than the former model. Still, i needed boots, so I kept wearing them. within two months the leather at the toe cap stitching began to disintegrate. ( I normally wear a pair of paddock boots for a year or so before they need replacing, and consider that good use for the hours of wear and conditions that I put them through) Between the lack of foot support and the lack of durability, I wouldn't recommend these to anyone who needs to wear them to teach, work, or ride professionally; maybe they'd be adequate for a part-time rider.

Excellent Comfort & Support!!
I suffer from suffer foot and ankle problems and these are literally the ONLY pair of boots I can wear all day and still be able to walk at night. My foot surgeon and podiatrist also approve of these boots for me. Ever since Ariat came out with the Devon Pro line I have been an avid supporter.

Best paddock boots!
I have been riding in Ariats for over 20 years, and they have always been great boots, but I really love these Nitros - they're probably my favorite of all time. Super high quality and comfortable. I bought a second pair, so I'll be able to ride in these boots for the foreseeable future (my last pair of Ariats are over 10 years old, and still hanging in there). I can't recommend them enough!

Comfortable to walk around in, great in the stirru
I love the heal on this, so if I need to walk around the barn a little bit in them, they are comfortable to do so. I did find they are very stiff when first received, and it takes a lot of softener and use to loosen them up.

Very Uncomfortable!
As a trainer and a long time Ariat supporter, I can honestly say these were the most uncomfortable boots I've ever had. They have me blisters for weeks and was super disappointed that they never broke in and got comfortable.

Ariat comes through again! Amazing boots
My last paid of paddock boots were Ariats I had for years, unfortunately they went up. in flames during our CA fires.
I recently got these for days I'm wearing half chaps instead of tall boots. As soon as I put them on I was in awe, they are SO comfy and I'm sure will last my years again. They were bit stiff my first ride or two so thick socks are a must for breaking them in.

Amazing foot bed!
I got these paddock boots after realizing I'd like something a little less hot in the summer. A paddock boot plus half chaps are a better option in the sweaty summers. I have another pair of paddocks from Ariat that I've had since High School (8 years old), so I decided Ariat was the brand for me. When I put these on, the first thing I noticed was how amazing the foot bed felt! It's like walking on a cloud.
You for sure need to break them in though! I wasn't wearing the right socks on the first day and could feel my ankle taking the brunt of the break in process. With the right socks though, it's a lot more tolerable. The paddocks do feel very well put together and high quality. I am a size 6, got a size 6 in these and they're an exact fit.
