Runs small
When I received them there was a sticker that said improved fit. I would disagree. They run very small. I am 5’5” and 125 pounds and a medium barely fit. The only reason I bought these instead of the Pipers is that they have two pockets. I am not sure I would buy them again.

New and “Improved” Fit
Let me start by saying I own 5 pairs of these tights from prior years (2020-2021) and they are by far my favorite go-to riding tights. I love the material, fit and the silicone holds its stickiness. Because I love them so much I ordered three more pairs because some of my older pairs are starting to show wear. Unfortunately when these showed up they had a lovely label on them stating “New improved fit”. Well surprise surprise, the new fit is not so improved at all. They don’t stay up! The old version fit like a glove and never moved. These fall down constantly. They aren’t too big, they just do not stay up. I don’t know what they changed but it’s awful. Also the pockets were moved up so now when you are in the saddle you can’t get anything out of your pocket without straightening your leg. Not a brilliant plan on that change. Needless to say I’m NOT a fan. If I can find some with the old fit I’ll buy them but these are going back. Definitely not pleased.

Coloring is off, very shiny
I am returning these. The dark teal looks nothing like the photo in person. It is quite bright teal, more blue, and several shades lighter. Likewise, the fabric is super shiny and therefore draws tons of attention to cellulite, lumps from my shirt being tucked in, panty lines, etc. NOT flattering at all. I honestly didn't even keep them on long enough to assess the quality after I saw how they looked when I tried them on. For what it is worth, they fit true to size. I am 5'6 130 and ordered a medium.

Saved my butt--literally
These are super comfy, and a great color, AND when my very fresh OTTB thought tapping a pole meant take off bucking into the next county, they kept me in the saddle! Look, the reality is, I probably should have come off. But I didn't. And I really do sincerely credit the fact that these have just the right amount of stick to them, without being so sticky you can't move in the saddle. A+ great purchase, would purchase again.

Comfy and grippy
I got a pair of these last year and wear them all the time. They are rally comfy, grippy, and apparently long lasting! They are light and have a slip pocket on the side that fit my cellphone. I do believe however, they changed the fit because I ordered a second pair in the same size this month and they were too big. I usually wear S, my first pair was an M (so they ran large). I had to return the recent M I ordered for being too big so perhaps the "new fit" runs more true to size. Thankful for Smartpaks excellent return policy.

The silicone is LEGIT!!
Okay, so read this or not because I'm 11 years old. But, I ride competitively and decided these tights deserve to be reviewed!
I'm 4,7" and about 70lbs...I'm pretty small for my age. I've been on the hunt for a good pair of tights that are full seat silicone, are a size large, and have belt loops. Not kidding, they are few and far between! Ovation doesn't make a kids tight in full seat, and I can't find a large at all anyways. I tried on the Ladies XS because they come in F/S. They fit just fine, with room to grow into! That being said, pretty much everything Ovation sells runs a size smaller than it actually is. Always always always size up when you buy their things.
By far the best part about these breeches is the silicone. I've been a Kerrits Icefil fan through and through, but these beat them in grip! There is more of it, and its stickier. STICKIER. Thats what it is! If you don't like too much grip, you might run into trouble. But if you want to look good sitting the trot or canter in a flat class, these are the GO TO!!
Best ever, 110%. If you're on the fence about these bad boys, JUMP!

Great but not for summer!
I love the fit and quality of these F/S tights! Very happy with them for fall/winter/spring. But they’re not light or cool enough for summer and shouldn’t be marketed that way! Kerrits ice fil tights still have that market cornered.
