Non-prescription proven preventative
Actively prevent stomach ulcers and the pain and discomfort that often accompanies them by giving your horse ULCERGARD during times of increased stress or exercise. ULCERGARD is the first and only proven non-prescription preventative for Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome. No other product is FDA-approved to prevent stomach ulcers in horses. Each tube of ULCERGARD contains four preventative doses for horses weighing between 600 and 1,200 pounds. Two doses are recommended for horses weighing more than 1,200 pounds.

WORKS!
I always give a dose a day before we leave for a show or travel and everyday 'away' from home and it keeps my mare eating, drinking and generally more content!! Do not leave home without it!!

This is liquid gold for anyone who's horse suffers from ulcers. My guy has chronic ulcers that flare up due to weather, hay changes, self induced stress, trailering, shows, lack of grass, medications, supplements ect. He has such a sensitive digestive system that the smallest trigger can set him off into a flare up which left untreated leads to a colic episode. I keep ulcergard on hand at all times and administer 1/4 tube whenever I feel a flare up might be on its way. He gets ulcergard any time he trailers and the entire time he is at a show. During the winter when he is not on grass and has limited turn out he goes through a tube a week. I swear by this stuff and will never be without it.

EXCELLLENT PRODUCT
My youngest mare internalizes everything and was getting stressed in training and not turned out regularly where I had her boarded. When she wouldn't let me scratch her tummy (she loves her tummy scratched) and was having outbursts and not eating all her hay I suspected the start of ulcers. I started giving this to her and she felt better. Since then I also pulled her from training and moved her to a new boarding place where she is out 24/7. She is back to loving her tummy scratched and happy. Now I only give UlcerGard when I haul her in the trailer just to be safe she doesn't stress her tummy again.

It actually works!
It's on the expensive side, but it's worth every penny. My horse is eating much better and is overall happier and comfortable. It is not the fastest most convenient process but it works if you're willing to follow through. I would use it again but I hope I don't have to!

UlcerGard is a lifesaver!
Never will my horse step foot on a trailer or undergo any other kind of stress without UlcerGard! What a life saver! I wish is was a bit cheaper, it's quite hard on the wallet when you need it, but it works, so I use it! FYI - I have shopped around, and SCAH is the cheapest place to get it ;-)

Easy to Administer!
I use UlcerGard every time I travel. Great way to help prevent ulcers in horses stressed during transport or showing. Vet recommended. I find it easy to administer and my horse doesn't spit it out. Safe to give whole tube at one time or to give single doses (four doses in tube).

Go to product to protect the belly
My horse gets the support of Ulcergard whenever he is on a long course of bute, antibiotics, or traveling. He recently tore a tendon and has been on stall rest for nearly a month. I've tried to keep food in front of him in a slow feeder for entertainment, but he's an easy keeper and controlling his weight while he is locked up is challenging. When I can't add more food, I know his belly will be protected from ulcers even when he isn't inhaling his food.

Works great for maintenance
I have a very sensitive mare and after the vet and I agreed to treat her for ulcers my vet suggested that I used ulcerguard "whenever she does anything other than come out for her usual training session" this meant offsite lessons, clinics, horse shows etc. So far I haven't noticed her usual crabbiness while tacking up of being sour to my leg. Seems to be doing its job! I definitely recommend ordering the bulk package to save some $.

Great product!
I suspected that my TB/Percheron cross gelding had ulcers - he's an a nervous but stoic guy and he didn't want to go forward. When he developed a head shaking habit, I could tell he was nervous and uncomfortable so I tried Ulcer Guard. There was an almost immediate change! He was happily moving forward and much more attentive to training.
