Horses love it!
I started my two QH's on It two months ago. Gobbled it up right away. Barely give grain anymore since this can replace it. Only give a handful or two mixed with smartpak. They are happy and content. My gelding calmed down BIG TIME since reducing grain and starting smart essentials. Love it!

My Mom's Horse has completely changed in attitude
We started my Mom's 19 year old gelding on this about 40 days ago. He is a bay and always looks horrible in spring. He has those long wispies that are brown, while his black hair is slick but hidden underneath. Over the winter he gets a little depressed but pulls out of it by summer. Well, after the first month of feeding this, he is trotting or loping everywhere in the pasture. He trots up the hill to get a drink. He lopes over to the bucket to check for any leftover pieces of grain. He is DEFINITELY not depressed anymore. Also he shed out very easily this spring without looking terrible for weeks. This supplement has really made a huge difference in him after just a little over a month. I also put my gelding on the Essentials at the same time. He also seems a little perkier and looks healthier -- but the difference in my Mom's bay has just been incredible.

So far so good!

My vet was impressed!
I've been feeding this supplement for over 2 years and they really love it. On the last vet check he was so impressed with how the horses health he had to know my feeding regime. I was happy to share the product info - SmartEssentials Pellets. He remarked that there wasn't enough biotin - but this is why I supply a mineral block, and a salt block. It was nice to get positive feedback from a professional.

Great supplement
I bought this product on the advice of a Smartpak representative (thank you!). My horse had rain rot on much of his body and I was worried about new hair growth. The spread of it was contained and treatment was underway. His hair grew back beautifully and I attribute that to the supplement. Now that he is shedding out, his coat is shiny and healthy. The price was great too.

Really Works
My horse has been on SmartEssentials for about a month and a half now, and her coat is notably shinier. I probably got it at just the right time as she's started to shed her winter coat, but so far she looks great. Also love that it includes the vitamins she needs that she may not be getting from hay and grain.

The Nose Knows
My mustang eventually began sorting these pellets from his other feed and very carefully spitting them out onto he ground beside his feeder. I was hoping to use this in place of horse feed for my easy keeper but he will not accept it. It kind of smells like a human multivitamin. I think this would be great for less picky eaters. My mustang rebuilt his topline and now looks great because of this product even though he wasn't ingesting his full smartpak.

Perfect Combo
I ride endurance with my QH gelding. Even with all that exercise, he still doesn't need the extra sugar and calories in a full serving of grain. Since doesn't have access to pasture and lives off hay from one supplier, I worry about dietary imbalances, especially Vit A, E and Omega 3s since those fade in hay so quickly. This product is perfect for that, and even better, doesn't have the excess Iron in other ration balancer types since my guy is already in an iron overload area. I switched to this in the fall, and this is the first time since 2011 he hasn't ended up with scratches and bad cannon crud in the winter! It helps that it is a pellet since I can't get my guy to reliably eat powdered stuff, which has ruled out a lot of other options.

I feed all my horses oats and barley. I wanted to make sure they were getting the correct vitiams and with Smartpac , I know my herd is getting exactly what they need

good levels of vitamins
I feed this with some hay stretcher to ponies. They love it and when compared to other supplements for horses on hay or grass hay only, it has the highest level of core vitamins. I do add e, probiotics, and biotin for an extra punch since horses are so deficient in our area for e.

Very appealing!
After doing some research I was concerned about my horses(3) ability to keep their weight up after we had them moved. Little grass and trying to keep grain amount down and using more healthy choices to integrate into their food, such as best pulp, orchard grass, and alfalfa. I was concerned they may not be getting enough minerals and vitamins, that it may have something to do with their weight loss and overall look of not happy/healthy horses and I purchased this! It was worth it! They look and feel much healthier and I believe it has helped them from the inside out! Great, great, great!

Great combo
I bought this product to replace 2 other supplements I was feeding. This has been much more palatable for my slightly picky eater. My horse has the best coat he's had in three years and his feet are great, came through the winter like a champ. Thank you SmartPak for supplying great products for my horse.

Horses eat it!
When I decided I wanted to make sure my horses were getting hindgut support and omega fatty acids, since there isn't much grass, with their multivitamin, I tried this product after balancing on FeedXL. My mare, who HATES SmartVites, ate it right up. My only complaint- the pellet aren't really pellets. They're more loosely formed chunks than they are pellets. The horses don't seem to mind, but I mix my feed by hand and it does stick to my hands which makes me wonder if they are getting the full dose.
If SmartPak comes out with a SmartEssentials Ultra with a SmartVite Perform and the SmartOmega 3 Ultra that the horses like I will definitely switch to that instead.

My horse looks great
I'm in my second month of feeding this and my horse looks fantastic. He feels great and it's nice knowing he is getting all the vitamins he needs. He loves the taste and he is getting all his vitamins without having to feed grain. Great for a horse who has had ulcers and does better without grain.

Shiny Coat!
Marley has been on this product for 3 months and his winter coat is very shiny. He's always been a very happy and healthy horse, but this product truly improved his coat. I can't wait to see how it looks in summer!

So far so good
We strive to give horses great hay so we try to find a product that can give all the vitamins and minerals they need without adding too many pellets to their diet. My horses have been on this product for almost two months and both have stayed quiet, happy, and look great. I actually took my one gelding off of his joint supplement and lowered his ulcer supplement as well when I started the SmartEssentials. His attitude has stayed great and he is moving great! I am feeding nothing but the SmartEssentials and hay and am very happy. Still eager to see how it works long term, but so far so good.

Better than Thrive
Used Thrive for years and when my Tenn Walker developed a skin problem on her pastern I wanted to add Omega fatty acids to her diet. SmartEssentials had everything she needed and she and my other Walker love the taste.

Working for my 2
I shopped around looking for a good all around supplement with omegas and this fit the bill. I get lots of complements on both my horses winter coats...I don't shave them, but they are super shiny and healthy. They are 14 and 22, but neither one looks a day over 10! Both are picky, but clean it up.
