Works better than I knew
I fed Smart Bug-Off from April 1 through July 15 this year. My horses still had flies on them, so I wasn't very impressed. However, when I stopped feeding it, the flies were so much worse. The flies and bugs on the manure in the stalls was horrible after I stopped feeding it - there was a major difference! I just called an reordered the Ultra formula.

Really Helps with the Insects
I have been using this for about 3 years, and found it works very well, as my horse doesn't like the sound of the spray gun for administering fly spray. So much easier for her to just take the supplement.

Excellence product to reduce pesky fly problems
I used this product last year and thought I would just use fly spray this year because only few flys last year. Boy was I wrong. This year, my boy was being eaten alive with flys. I put him back on Smart Bug and the fly population went elsewhere. Only need to use spray sparingly now.

So-So
I'm still not sure whether this is actually working for my mare. For a less buggy day I think it does, but there are days where it doesn't seem to be working at all. We do live in a very buggy area (which is why I wanted to try it), so I'm just not sure. Her pasture mates seemed to be more miserable that she is on most days. It is very easy to give through. My mare will eat anything. It did work really well for an older mare I had once however. Guess it depends on your horse and area you live in.

It really works!
Since I bought my 25 year old Arabian gelding 10 years ago he has always had legs that were bloody from fly bites. No amount of fly spray of any brand would keep the flies away. When I learned of the SmartBug-Off pellets I knew I had to try them and THEY WORK! He has been almost 100% fly free. Those flys that do land on him leave before biting!

Working great so far!
My horse used to get bit up so bad in the summertime on his legs! This year I haven’t even had to put fly boots on him since I’ve started these! So happy I tried them!

Did not help my horses
My horses still have welts, bloody bites and are stomping and kicking and biting at flies after using it consistently on all horses for two months. Still have to load them down with fly spray, so I do not see any point in continuing to waste money on it. Some people have good luck with feed throughs-I did not.

So far I see a difference!
I'm always a bit skeptical of supplements (that is, I don't assume they will have magical results before I try them), but after a month of using the product, my two horses are not getting plauged by flies as much as the other horses on the property who aren't on it. We always have a lot of trouble with flies, so the fact that I'm seeing results so soon is impressive. We'll see how it holds up throughout the summer!

Best insect control!
I decided to try SmartBug-Off not only for the swarming flies, but wanted to see if it would help with the amount of ticks my palomino would come back with on a daily basis. I am so happy to report that I started seeing a decline within 10 days and now we just started on our second month and she comes back with 5 ticks over 3 days instead of 30 ticks on a daily basis! BEST product! Thank you Smartpak! We are so grateful and relieved!
-A whole lot less itchy and bothered,

Easy to use.
Trying the bug off for my dark colored draft. The bugs absolutely drive him crazy. I guess he is a big dark target because the bugs don’t seem to bother my light colored paint nearly as bad. Hoping that this helps him. Nothing else has. He weighs 1800 lbs so I’m wondering if he is getting enough product to be effective.

Simply the best
I having been purchasing this product for many many yrs now for my Norwegian Fjord Simeon . It seems that when Simeon is bit he has a bad reaction to the bites they harden up and stay forever on him. Since I’ve tired this product he now comes down with maybe 1 nite every 2 yrs , only because I ran out or didn’t purchase in time for the bug season . I truly recommend this product 100% Simeon & I love it ❤️

The Best Bug Repellant Pellets
Living in So. California along the arroyo with flies and mosquito problems from our last rains, this SmartBug-Off product has been a God send. Has decreased the amount of fly irritation for both my horse and pony.

Eh
My horses eat this, no problem. I can't say they have been bothered less by bugs but it has nice supportive ingredients. I use it with a can't hurt/might help attitude.

Great product
Bought SmartBug-Off Pellets for our mare who has chronically struggled with fly bite hypersensitivity. She eats the pellets eagerly. She also appears to be less of a magnet for biting insects.

Worked OK
One of my horses gets really bad skin in the summer from the flies, I can usually control it pretty well by dousing him in fly spray. I hoped this supplement would help with that. Ive used it for two months and do notice there are a few less flies on him than on my other horse, but it didnt help with his skin. Going back to expesive fly spray because that does help and I will not repurchase.

Good product
I found this product to work well when I initially started it. It did nothing for the giant Kansas horseflies but nothing does other than a baseball bat.
It seems it has lost its potency as my guys are being eaten up by the late summer flies and mosquitos. I believe the quality is good (it has a very strong ACV smell)and the price is fair and my horses ate it w/o issue but it just hasn't had any staying power for my herd. Sorry SmartPak...I do love some of your other products!

Smelly but effective!
Before trying this product I used garlic powder, brewer's yeast and apple cider vinegar separately to fight the bugs. Having all three in one with the addition of essential fatty acids makes for a great product and feeding is so much easier! I have bought this product throughout the summer and it has worked well for my mare in keeping the flies off her body. My gelding is a picky eater and hates funny smells, so he would dump the grain out of his dish in protest. I did finally manage to trick him by burying the scoop of SmartBug-Off at the bottom of his grain ration and piling the other supplements on top, and he finally would eat it. I noticed a big difference after running out. The number of flies increased within just a couple of days, so it's important to keep using it since it builds up in the body over time.

Seemed to help with allergy issues as well
I bought this for my horse who would not eat the garlic I was putting in her feed. She does seem to have fewer bug bites, but the best part is that it seems to have helped with her allergies as well. She tends to get intermittent hives and runny eyes in the summer, and since starting on this product there have been no issues.
Only negative is that the stuff smells REALLY bad - my horse wouldn't eat it out of my hand but will when mixed with feed.

No dramatic results
My horses eat Smartbug Off, no problem. I'm not seeing a drastic change in the number of bugs pestering them so use it under the couldn't hurt/might help premise. I like the combination of ingredients in Smartbug Off and if it is slightly reducing pests on them or laying eggs in their poo, it's worth it.

Does just what we needed!
I started this at the beginning of spring on my sorrel with four white legs to the knee. Every past year, with daily spray and Equispot, the flies still just ate him up and he constantly had blood running down his legs. After a week of solid use the flies completely leave him be. There may be a straggler horse fly but no resting on him. This is just what he needed! He's not overly excited to eat it because it is so strong smelling but he does and his stomach does just fine with it. Thank you Smart Pak!
