HOWEVER- I truly saw a difference in my horse's mobility after about 3 months of being on this supplement (3 months is the time it takes for any supplement to take effect). He was always just a bit reluctant to engage his hind end, but I have seen a real difference in his willingness to move up and forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Darby from Leg Up Senior Joint pellets I have two horses on this, a 23 year old and a 15 year old. Both do very well. The older horse has some arthritis in his stifles, and this helps a lot. The younger horse's fetlocks used to click all the time. Much less often now. The down side of this product is the packaging! These little plastic bags may say they are recyclable but that doesn't mean it really happens. How about biodegradable bags, buckets, and something that holds all 8 pounds, or all 16 pounds, instead of all the small packaging??

Rated 5 out of 5 by KaseyDee from Better, quicker results than expected I had my mare on smartflex senior for 4 months along with her daily equioxx and did not see an improvement in stiffness/mobility. If there were day breaks in between working her, she would be reluctant to even walk. I tried leg up and was expecting to have to wait at least a month and a half to see any sort of results. Within a week of her being on this she must have felt worlds better because she has not had to be walked out of any stiffness and has even been eager to play and kick in the round pen.

She hasn't been on it long but I feel like I already see improvements. Especially when she feels spunky on the lung and does some "Airs above the ground" that she wouldn't do before.

This is a great basic joint supplement for a horse with no issues especially at this low price. My horse will eat this supplement and she can be finicky.
