Supports total digestive tract health
Formulated by the scientists at Kentucky Equine Research, RiteTrac® is a proprietary blend of ingredients designed to support total digestive tract health in horses. Targeted at both the foregut and hindgut of the horse, RiteTrac® works in two distinct ways. First, with its combination of fast-acting buffering and coating agents, RiteTrac® helps neutralize excessive gastric acid, protecting the sensitive stomach lining and supporting a normal gastric environment. Second, RiteTrac® contains EquiShure®, a time-released hindgut buffer that acts to attenuate changes in hindgut pH that may result from fermentation of starches in the hindgut.

Great Product Wouldn’t Trade It For The World!!
Definitely works!! I am on the second container. Before using Rite Trac my horse would turn his head teeth bearing after me when tightening the girth. 2 weeks into it a huge difference. No he doesn’t mind at all.

Seems to work!
I've spent years trying to find a daily supplement that will help my OTTB be less touchy about flanks, belly, and girth after more intense treatments. RiteTrac combined with ProBios seems to be the trick. He even does well with a half dose of RiteTrac, which is all that mixes into his grain well (he did get a full does for 2 months, it took 2-3 weeks to make a difference, but I think it really did!!). I do wish they could make it as something other than a powder, or more concentrated, because it's a LOT to mix in.

Post-ulcer treatment supplement
My horse was still showing signs of stomach pain after 6 weeks of Gastroguard/sucralfate/misoprostil treatment for ulcers, and my vet did not recommend continuing the regime longer-term (nor could I afford it!). This seems to have significantly reduced the symptoms, but has not completely eliminated them after about 3 weeks. The downsides are that 1) My horse hates this stuff. I have to drown it in peppermint water to get him to eat it, and 2) I don't think it is good for long-term use since it contains aluminum. Once this bucket is gone, I think I will try switching him to Equishure (which he is happy to eat, made by the same company, no aluminum, and less expensive) and see if I get the same results.

Very fine powder
Very fine powder. My horse didn’t like the taste or texture of the powder.
I really haven’t seen any changes in her gastric ulcer symptoms.

Amazed at Results
I have a 2 year old APHA gelding who had symptoms of hindgut acidosis (liquid in manure and runs down legs). Because he was also wood chewing I thought he might have gastric upset as well. So in addition to putting him on a straight alfalfa pellet diet (and a lot of oil), I put him on Rite Trac and a supplement to repair his digestive tract lining. All I can say is that the results were incredible and he was a different horse. Aside from all of his acidosis symptoms being gone, his attitude improved dramatically. I cannot describe how calm this horse is now. Admittedly he’s still on Equishure (which is in this supplement), but I’m still amazed at the turnaround in this horse’s behavior in a matter of days. We transitioned to Equishure a month ago and he’s still a solid citizen. Both are Excellent products that I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again if my horses needed it.

This stuff works wonders. I use it on every thoroughbred I get off the track. Helps their stomachs feel better and I love that it works for hind gut too

Our miniature horse has been on this product for almost a month. We coupled it with a product that includes pre and probiotics. She has ulcer symptoms and has had numerous colic bouts. So far so good with my two products! We also changed some of our feed procedures, including the availability of low carb/low sugar hay. The combination seems to be helping!

My horse won't eat!
My horse won't eat even the smallest amount of this. I missed it with his soaked pellets. His stools are soft since using it too.

Unbelievable Results
I am not the type of person to write reviews but I had to for this product. My daughter bought a jumper horse that was so angry all the time. He was dangerous to be around so we decided to have him scoped. Other than his demeanor, he really wasn't showing the common signs of ulcers. He did have both gastric and glandular ulcers (moderate). We did the protocol of ulcerguard and while he seemed a little better, there was no drastic change. I wasn't sure we were going to be able to keep him because of the threat of injury to my daughter. She loved this horse so I decided to give RiteTrac a chance. After about 3 weeks on this product, I cannot adequately describe the transformation in this horse! He is so relaxed now. His behavior changed so dramatically for the better, we thought he was sick! We were taking his temperature and wondering what was wrong with him! We just couldn't believe this one supplement could make such a dramatic change. He no longer pins his ears constantly. He now enjoys grooming. My daughter can now safely groom his back legs (which haven't been properly groomed for the first year we've had him). I am just astonished. I know there's no guarantee everyone is going to experience the same results as us, but my advise is to give it a try. It makes me sad to think how uncomfortable our boy must have felt all the time before we tried this product but I am so thankful we found it.

4 Horses Would Not Eat
Like all new products, I tried hand feeding to this to my four mares, and none of them would eat it. I even tried mixing it with a little ground flax seed (which they love and will normally lick out of my hand!) and still curled lips and walked away. This is the first time that they have ever been so adamant about not eating something.
KER has a great reputation, so I gave KER two stars for value, but honestly, I never got that far in order to really rate the product.
Nonetheless, SmartPak was great about correcting the problem. Thanks SmartPak!
