Slippery feel
I was disappointed when I received this pad. It looks shiny and feels very slippery, even on the underside. I have several smartpak saddle pads that I love. I think there is less cotton content in this one. It’s still slippery after washing it.

Winetasting is more brown than burgundy
I purchased this pad in dewberry and winetasting. I love the dewberry, but the winetasting is more brown than the burgundy/maroon I was looking for, so I returned it. I wish they had this pad in hunter green like they do in AP.

Perfect fit
This pad has the topline-withers arch in it that I wish my hunt seat pads. It keeps the pad from bunching under the saddle. To top it off the color is soft but stunning and the monogram is perfect! Definitely will look to this pad when I need another.

Nice saddle pad
I have had many smartpak saddle pads over the years and I love them. After riding in them a lot they do get worn, and if your horse sweats they will get dirty quick, but other than that, amazing.

Dewberry = Lemieux purple brushing boots perfectly
I got the Dewberry color, because purple! And then I realized that it matches the purple Lemieux brushing boots I bought my horse for Christmas perfectly. Rode in a clinic with an O level judge and was complemented on the matching outfit.
have not washed yet, don't know if the color will hold.

Not very durable
I bought this saddle pad over the summer because I LOVED the hibiscus color. After the second use, the girth area of the pad had already started pilling and the fabric was thinning. It's a cheap pad and I think I may have even gotten it on sale, so I can't complain that much, but I've bought store brand saddle pads from other popular online stores and those pads have lasted years without looking this worn...and that was when I ran a lesson program, so they got PLENTY of use. Again, I didn't spend much, so I'm not that upset, but I probably wouldn't buy another one. That said, the pad fits well, does its basic job, and washes well.

Price reflects quality
I ordered this pad in Glacier Blue, Dewberry and Winetasting. I finally got a dressage saddle and was so excited to have a pad that wasn't white or black! Unfortunately, two of them had some sort of issue or simply were not what I was anticipating. The Glacier Blue was the nicest and seemed to be the best as far as quality. It looked most like the picture. The Dewberry (purple) pad I received had some really funky stitching and I suspect that it won't make it through a wash. The Winetasting I was anticipating a burgundy color. I received an almost brownish-reddish color. The name isn't a misnomer. It really is the color of a really dark wine but the only parts of it that are even close to burgundy are the keepers. The price on these was right, which is why I am giving them three stars, but had I paid more, I think I'd have been disappointed. I will use them while they last and I appreciate that they were a nonstandard color.

Decent pad with a few flaws
I'd like to give at 3.5.... The pad is of decent quality, especially for the price, but has a few flaws. I bought it to have it embroidered at a local shop so needed something thin. Firstly, horse hair clings to the outside (inside, too, but I could live with that) like mad. It's impossible to get it all off. Secondly, even after just a few gentle uses and gentle washes, the area under the billets is showing marked (!!!!) wear. And thirdly, the wither area really needs to be a bit higher cut to allow for complete for complete freedom. I wouldn't purchase this pad again, but if you're on a budget, this pad will be ok for schooling, if you don't have a particularly high withered horse.

Perfect sizing and great colors, this is an excellent no frills schooling pad. My only complaint is that the stitching in the diamond pattern was uneven and coming undone in multiple places.
