Supports healthy nervous system function
Quiessence® provides high levels of Magnesium and Chromium in a pelleted form. Quiessence® is a supplement formulated to support normal glucose metabolism, balanced behavior, and relaxation in horses. Equines diets are often low in Magnesium, especially for equines in work, who are kept stalled, or are fed feeds that are processed with preservatives. Supplementing with Magnesium to these horses, support proper nerve and muscle function. Quiessence may be helpful for horses that are overweight and cresty-necked, and may also help with calming.

Works magic!

Worked for our OTTB struggling with head tossing
We were desperate and now have the answer! Quiessance, Shake No More, and Nose Screen: mixx well and you have a fix for 95% of the head tossing!!! My daughter can actually ride him again and we aren't fearful of getting a broken nose around him, lol!! Thanks Smartpak!!

It worked
I purchased this 3 weeks ago and started my OTTB that had a severe spook and ADD on it. In that time period we moved barns and had ice in the paddocks that made it impossible to turn out. He has never been calmer and easier to manage. I have to equate it to this given it’s the only thing that’s changed and he’s been in some very stressful situations do to the weather and not getting out. I will keep going on this 2xs a day until we are back to normal turnout then cut back to 1x. Highly impressed.

True Believer of Quiessence
I bought this in hopes it would help my TWH mare lose her cresty neck. She is an extremely easy keeper and gets fat on air! She can also be pretty moody where she doesn't even want to be messed with or loved on. This stuff makes a huge difference in her attitude!! She is more mellow and wants attention. It may take some time for her neck to lose the fat, it has started. I don't want to be without this because it really works for her.

Doesn't Like Taste
My QH Mare does not like the smell and will not eat it! I've tried to hide it with her other supplements (cosequin & succeed which both have great smells & she loves them) but she still somehow leaves it at the bottom. Been trying for awhile....even mixed it with no sugar syrup & she figured it on in a day.

Helps my cresty pony!

In think it's working.
Raymond is a hyper horse, and I don't think this will ever change drastically. However, after changing his diet from regular pellets to low starch & low sugar, and adding Quiessence, his mood has changed somewhat, and he is finally gaining weight, since he is no longer pacing in his stall, etc. I've tried all the Smart Calm supplements, but none seemed to work well for him. Don't know if it's the change in diet or a combo of the two, but he is better.

Good for fat ponies
I have used this product for some fat, pasture ponies. It helps with the fat pads and cresty necks. Also has a calming effect. I recommend it.

Helpful with IR horses
I have an Lusitano that is a very easy keeper. I’ve really struggled to minimize her fat pockets. A double dose of Quiessence has helped tremendously!! She has taken a good 6” off her waist line.

Using for our pony with grass sensitivity
No laminitis yet this winter! Our pony is prone to laminitis/founder in winter/spring when frost hits the grass. I’ve supplemented this and been able to let him graze in the afternoons out of the dirt paddock. He’s a happy boy

Quality ingredients
I switched from Magnesium 500 to Quiessence due to the higher magnesium dosage. Both products work great, but I have seen a difference over the last few weeks since using Quiessence. The weather has been very cold and wet, but this product has help my gelding stay happy and quiet.

I think it works!
I use Quiessence in my horses that are at risk for laminitis. My farrier recommended milk of magnesium as a source of magnesium for my horses, but I decided Quiessence would be a better option, since it was developed specifically for horses. I can't tell whether it is effective or not, but they do eat it and they haven't had any new laminitic episodes.

Definitely works for cresty neck!
I started using this product on my gelding three years ago when he was 15. He had developed a large cresty neck and tested positive for insulin resistance. My vet was also concerned he might be pre-Cushing's. We altered his diet to reduce starch/sugars and started him on Quiessence. It made a DRAMATIC difference in his cresty neck. It really shrank it down to the point where it is almost back to normal. My horse was retested twice in the last two years and now results are totally normal for IR, Cushing's, and EMS. I have kept him on 3 scoops a day although he's now starting to look a bit skinny so I may drop to the 2 scoop maintenance dose. I tried this on my TB mare for calming purposes and didn't notice any difference so discontinued use for her.

Not for my horse
I have an 8 year old paint that I do eventing with. He’s young and gets a bit spooky. My equine massage girl reccomended this supplement for my guy to help loosen his stiffness. We’ve never had any issues until I started this supplement. About a month after staring him on a daily dose he started using the jumps as his launching pad and would bolt after. This got so bad that it started shaking my confidence. He was spooking at things he never spooked at before. (My horse has excellent ground manners and I’ve been training him for years, never had any of these issues). It got to the point to where I had to lunge him before I rode just to get the bucks out. After exhausting every effort I started thinking back to what I was doing when this all started and began my process of elimination. I cut out the quiescence and we started having good rides again. I’d give it to him to see what happened and I got crazy city. I have so much of this stuff left over I didn’t want it to go to waste, so I would sporadically use it and every time he would be crazy the next day. So I started researching other options. I found the dac orange superior and he has been an angel. Lots of energy but he isn’t nuts, he comes right back. He is more balanced in his mind. I don’t recommend quiescence after my experience, my horse was out of his mind.

Great Results
My mare was always nervous and spooked at everything. Ellie was on the supplement for a month and I was able to ride her in the Christmas parade in Lawrence, KS with horse drawn carriages and over 10,000 spectators. Ellie was relaxed and performed perfectly.

Seems to work for calming.
The first time I used quiessence was to calm my young warmblood mare when started showing her and to help my daughter's pony with her cresty neck that was beginning to form. I feel like it worked very well as a calming supplement. My mare seemed less reactive when on it. The pony's neck never got any thicker, but I'm not sure if that was due to the supplement or the diet plan.
Most recently I have started using it on a different young warmblood mare. I'm hoping it will help her to remain calm at her first series of shows.
It has also been very palatable. All the horses have eaten it with zero issues.
