AluShield contains a proprietary carrier that causes the active wound-protective formula to adhere to the skin and will not wash off with hot or cold water. AluShield can be washed off, however, with soapy water to inspect the wound. The usual reapplication of AluShield is every three days to insure that an optimal bacterial barrier is maintained.
Essential To Wound Recovery is Oxygen
AluShield, Aerosol Bandage allows the wound to oxygenate (breathe) to aid in the essentials of wound healing. AluShield may also be applied over ointment or salves used to aid in wound healing.
AluShield is a must have product for equine and farm first aid kits because of the frequent injuries and accidents experienced with horses and farm animals.
AluShield may be used in wounds in which protection against bacterial contamination is needed. And, AluShield does not contain sulfa or antibiotics, which is a concern in food producing animals intended for food.
AluShield is used in wound treatment for dogs and cats in which oxygenation of the wound is desired, but a bacterial barrier is needed.
