Instructions for Use:
Before applying Rain Maker, be sure the sole and wall of the hoof are clean and dry. Pick out the soles and clefts of the frog to remove any foreign matter. First, using the handy applicator brush provided, work Rain Maker into the frog, the sole and over the bulbs of the heel. Next, apply to the hoof wall to aid in restoration of the periople (protective coating of the horn), retard moisture loss and give the hoof a natural sheen. Using the applicator brush, also massage Rain Maker into the coronary band to approximately one inch above the hoof wall. Repeat treatment as needed. Most hoofs respond favorably to an application once or twice a week.

Best Hoof Dressing!
All year I’ve been using hoof dressings very regularly as part of my after riding grooming routine, buying a different brand each month (I have three horses, so going through it a bit). Finally I chose Rain Maker; no more leaving a third to half the product on the mats trying to get it to the hooves without it oozing off. Rain Makers consistency keeps it on the brush directly to the hooves. So far my horses hooves are showing improvement/not drying. I’d highly recommend this hoof dressing over the several others I tried all year.

Love this stuff
I have been using Rainmaker hoof oil for over 20 years both on my last TB gelding and now on my TB mare. He had perfect feet but occasionally they would get dry and crack. Used this in the dry months a couple times a week and his feet were great. My mare is completely different - she has the typical TB feet and we’ve struggled to get her hooves to grow for over 3 years. Recently, per my farriers recommendation I started using the Rainmaker every day on her hooves, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! My farrier came out a couple of weeks ago and said that her feet never looked better. It’s true! Her feet are finally where they need to be. In fact, others at my barn witnessed the transformation and now they are using the Rainmaker oil, too! It’s working for all of us.

Helped with the cracks
I was having some trouble with my horse’s hooves cracking at the bottom because of our dry climate. I tried Rainmaker on the recommendation of a friend, and I’ve been thrilled with the results! To use, I always make sure that my horse’s hooves are clean and dry, and then apply all over with the brush provided. I make sure to do the sole, frog, hoof walls, and even rub into the coronary band. I have been using it about 1-2 times a week and have been happy to say that the cracking has stopped! It’s very easy to use, and mess free (once you get the hang of the brush). Once applied, it stays on the hoof nicely, and really does help retain any moisture in the hoof. You can see that it is providing a barrier, as the water beads up and off the hoof if you are using the hose after you apply. Overall this product has helped my horse’s feet tremendously, and I would absolutely recommend it. I also appreciate that a little bit goes a long way, so the jar lasts quite a while!

I do believe this product nourishes dry hooves. I wish it was easier to get all of the product out of the container to reduce waste. Easy to apply and worthwhile none the less.

Definite improvement
Bought this as an upgrade to the hoof oil provided by my barn. It seems to be working well. Seems to work best if you leave the horse in cross ties for a few minutes after application to let it sink in a bit.

A hard NO from me.
I got one bottle of this stuff mid spring because my horse's feet got super dry and started to chip and crumble. Used this religiously per the bottle's instructions. I'm almost through with the bottle and I don't think it's done anything. (gave this product 8 months to give me results...)
The component sucks. Its so thick and it just rubs off on everything. Its glycerin based so the hoof doesn't really absorb it from my experience. The glob of oil just stays on the surface of the hoof and it causes for all sorts of debris to stick onto the hoof. It looks ugly and messy and in my opinion, just creates a breeding ground for bacteria on the hoof. Did nothing to help with the cracks, etc. If anything, it made my guy's feet worse! Not happy with it and never buying again. I'll be sticking with hoof products that can dry down and that the hoof can absorb and actually utilize(like Keratex) rather than this waste of money.

This hoof treatment keeps my horses hooves from cracking. Living in a dry climate does so much damage to a horses hoof. I feel confident every time I use this product it helps keep his hooves healthy.
