The personal donation from Alan Gatto, president of Kensington Protective Products, and Terri Schulte, a National Sales Representative for the company, is just the beginning of Kensington's commitment to provide on-going support. The company plans to continue their involvement with an annual donation based on the growth of the SmartPink program.
"Both Terri and I were touched by the response of customer letters and phone calls resulting from our involvement with SmartPink," said Gatto. "Looking ahead, we want to make an even greater contribution through SmartPink to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation. It has been an immensely rewarding experience to give back to the community in this way."
Kensington worked closely with SmartPak to create the exclusive SmartPink line, the end result has become a must-have-item in the equine community due to its incredible durability, striking pink plaid design and symbolism of breast cancer awareness. SmartPink products include a full line of all-weather horse clothing, equipment bags, halters, saddle pads and more!
"The idea just had the right timing and the right people involved," recalled Schulte. "We had the synergy to turn an idea into a lasting product line that has not only benefited the industry and the people in it but is also a charity of tremendous importance. We are immensely appreciative to be involved and give back to such a worthy program and cause."
