Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Bit for My Horse I purchased this bit after fighting my horse for so long in a regular smooth snaffle. He is a very opinionated horse with an attitude, and the plain snaffle was not working. He would drag me around courses without giving a thought about actually listening to me. Once I got this bit, that all stopped! He is much more manageable now. He actually listens to my hand, and honestly, he is so much happier with this bit. I like the fact that it isn't very harsh, but it gets the point across to the horse that woah means woah! It is also the perfect in between bit for a horse that doesn't need a pelham, but needs more than a regular snaffle. I use this bit one a variety of horses I ride, and every one of them respects this bit and generally likes it. It's a great bit to have!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Horses that Need a Little Help I love this bit for horses that either regularly need only a French-link or that are coming back down from a more severe bit. My horse was ridden in one of these for years before I purchased him, and he was a fan of it. Doesn't hurt the horse's mouth if you use it right (remember, even the lightest snaffle can be abusive if used wrong), and it's not too strong that they brace against it or bite down. Overall, great bit for the money and great for certain horses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great bit just the extra control i needed for my OTTB over fences. She's great in a plain Dee on the flat, but a bit forward over fences. This bit gives us the control we need and still the beautiful finished hunter look of the Dee ring. :) highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for a "little something extra" My gelding usually goes in a Myler D-ring, but I use this bit in the winter for jump schools and on days when he's feeling particularly frisky. I like to use a slow twist on a horse that needs a little something more to reinforce half halts so they won't run through my hands or ignore the half halt. My horse has a tendency to curl up with curb action, and he can get wild in the winter until the jumps go up to back him off. The slow twist works really well to get him to listen to me in between the jumps and balance, instead of galloping around like a giraffe like he would prefer. I always recommend this bit to someone whose horse normally goes in a plain (or on the plain-side) D, that needs a little something extra. Korsteel bits are a great value too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bit, large Dee rings I purchased this bit as a correction bit for when my Paint gelding gets heavy and lazy. I like it for the occasional ride. The rings are very large and kind of thin, and they stick out a little bit instead of lying flat against his head. I wouldn't want to show in this bit, but it works great for the occasional schooling ride.
