And of course, please make sure the item is in like-new condition with original packaging (we said 'fitting room', not 'war room'!).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product for ice therapy I do like to use the ice horse product. they work well when used properly. read the instructions. First wet the area where the product is to be applied. it just conducts the cooling therapy better. Always make sure to squeeze any accumulated air out of each pouch after use. they will last longer this way. Only three stars due to the fact they don't stay very moldable as they did for the first use. but over all a good product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy I have had the tendon boots for more than 10 years. Boots are very easy to use, horses tolerate them well .I show about 6 or 7 weeks annually and use them on 1 or 2 horses daily while showing. I have had only 1 ice pack break until now. For whatever reason, I had 6 rupture simultaneously. They were in a really hot part of my trailer, so perhaps that is why. But for the length of time I have had them, I certainly think it is reasonable!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Idea I must ice my drill team horse's legs after each practice. I love the idea of this product but find it difficult to use. The ice packs freeze solid--no matter how you lay them out in the freezer. When frozen they become difficult to get into the holder pockets in the boot. It took too much time and was frustrating (as your fingers froze). Once I did get them in the pockets, then I had the problem of getting them tight enough on my horse's legs (the hard frozen packet would be square and my horse's legs are round). As they thawed, the boot would slip down the leg. My horse is a big guy and these boots only come in one size. I found it difficult to even strap them on. Bottom line. I have ordered another type of ice pack. A common ice pack of "gel". The gel pack stays soft when frozen so it is easy to put them into the boot pockets and to put the boot securely on a round leg. Again a wonderful idea for icing a horse's leg on a regular basis but the manufacture should give some thought to the type of ice pack provided and, also, offering different sizes of boots as horse's legs vary.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible! The set that came with my Ice Horse Tendon Boots popped after a use or two. I tried to duct tape them to get by and phoned Smartpak to let them know. They quickly sent me replacements, but those popped too. None of the ones I have owned have frozen into "fluffy snow" as advertised. They have always frozen rock solid. I leave them out and try to gently massage out the lumps or I have even use a spoon to painstakingly break up the solid block of ice. I am just going to by an off brand to use in the boot. Super frustrating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well The ice packs work well and are easy to use. After many uses and refreezing they start to leak, so I just ordered replacements.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful cold packs These freeze well, and after several uses, come out of the freezer "chunky." I let them thaw a few minutes and then smooth the chunks out. They stay cold for 20-30 minutes even in summer heat and humidity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could be more durable... I have used the Ice Horse products for years, but the ice packs could be more durable. After moderate use they start to leak through the small hole that is used to fill them. Maybe rethinking the design would make them hold up better.
