actually helped
i tried this a while back and it didn't help. tried other products which didn't help, even altrenogest. tried this again BUT increased the dose to max and it did /does give her some calmness.

My horse hated it.
I was so disappointed with this! I love the Ex stress paste so I thought I would give the powder a try. I have never known my horse to be a picky eater but he refused to touch his food with this in it! I even added some pure peppermint extract to encourage him but it didn't help. I put it in a syringe squirted it down his throat for a couple of days and decided that wasn't worth it. So I can't say whether it works or not only that my horse wouldn't eat it.

Working for my 9yr OTTB
I switched to this calming supplement after using another one and I can say this has help immensely! However, please understand this is not going to make your horse a perfect angel but, it will get them to focus more. My horse is not making mountains out of ant hills....more like sand dunes now. Note: this stuff is nasty. I've tasted it so, I suggest to mix it with something else. I mix mine with Natural Glo

This product works!
We have had my daughter's horse on ExStress for almost a month now. We just cam back from Thermal and we really think it made a difference. her horse is a 6 year old who likes to throw a nasty buck now and then. Ever since starting it - no big nasty bucks - and that includes rides after being stuck in a stall due to rain. We are going to keep using it!

Didn't Like It
My mare, Rayne, tried it a few days here and there, but overall decided that the mac n' cheese powder wasn't for her. She ended up just leaving all of her grain untouched, sometimes even flipping the bowl over and out of her trough.

Won't eat it. :(
I bought enough Ex Stress powder in SmartPaks for show season. Just found out at our first show of the year that he won't eat it. He went completely off his grain (which he hasn't done before) and the only change had been the addition of Ex Stress. Ex Stress ended up causing me stress! I still gave it 3* because our trainer swears by it (if they'll eat it!)

Split between two horses
I was interested in supplementing my mare with magnesium as she is on long-term omeperazole for ulcers and studies in humans have shown a decrease in magnesium. When comparing supplements I noticed Ex-Stress had significantly more B vitamins as most of the other supplements and I know B vitamins can help with spookiness, so I had SmartPack split the dose into two and give half to my sometimes spooky gelding. Both horses are doing great on 1/2 dose!

Definitely works
I have an OTTB with severe anxiety. The ExStress is definitely working for him. The biggest drawback is that it has to be given twice a day. I tried doubling it up and giving it once a day but it didn't work for my guy. And he eats absolutely anything so I can't speak as to the palatability of it, but the smell is a little off putting.
