Feeding SmartPak Pouches 

Do I feed my horse the SmartPak Pouches once or twice per day?
Typically, most supplements only need to be fed once per day and in some cases, such as daily dewormers, the daily dose should not be split. Therefore, the default option for SmartPak Pouches is for them to be fed once daily. However, some products are recommended to be fed twice daily and/or some horse owners prefer to split up their horse's supplements between AM and PM feedings. If this option is selected, each SmartPak Pouch will be marked as either AM or PM and one of each should be given daily.
How long are the SmartPak Pouches good for?
SmartPak Pouches are tightly sealed to protect potency and provide your horse the freshest supplements available. For best results, we recommend feeding them within 6 months of the shipping date, which is printed on the top of each SmartPak pouch.

Why are SmartPak Pouches on AutoShip shipped every 28 days instead of 30 or 31 days?
Since each month can have a different number of days as well as number of weeks, a monthly shipping schedule would cause you to either have excess SmartPak Pouches or potentially run out before the next shipment arrives. To be sure that you always get the right amount, we ship your orders every 4 weeks. This guarantees that no matter how many days or weeks are in the month, your order will arrive on time.
How do I get free shipping on my SmartPak Pouches?
All individual SmartPak Pouches on AutoShip with a total cost over $40 (pre-tax and discounts) will automatically receive free shipping. Additionally, if you have multiple SmartPak Pouches which total over $75 together, your orders will also qualify for free shipping. Lastly, if your order is shipped to a commercial barn address, you can receive free shipping by using your weekly Barn Saver Shipping Day, regardless of your order total. Are SmartPak Pouches Recyclable?
Unfortunately, SmartPak Pouches are not recyclable. However, after looking at many different pouch materials, we selected this one because of its superior ability to block light and seal out moisture, ensuring you are feeding fresh supplements that maintain their potency. In addition, we know that when it comes to opening SmartPak Pouches, it is important that they tear and pour easily. We loved that this Pouch can be torn very easily anywhere along the top or the bottom of the bag and that every tear creates plenty of room to pour the supplements out.

Can I delay or adjust the shipping schedule on my SmartPak Pouches if they are on AutoShip?
Yes, you can easily update your shipping date for your SmartPak Pouches by visiting the AutoShip Manager on our website (if you’re not logged in already, you’ll be prompted to do so first). Next click on Manage SmartPak Pouches button next to your horse’s order. From there you’ll be taken to the SmartPak Pouches Manager, where you’ll have the ability to edit your next ship date.
How do I adjust the shipping address on my SmartPak Pouches if they are on AutoShip?
You can easily update your shipping address for your SmartPak Pouches by visiting the AutoShip Manager on our website (if you’re not logged in already, you’ll be prompted to do so first). Next click on Manage SmartPak Pouches button next to your horse’s order. From there you’ll be taken to the SmartPak Pouches Manager, where you’ll have the ability to edit your shipping address.
How do I update the billing information on my SmartPak Pouches?
To update your billing address or credit card, simply visit our Billing Information page and enter your new information (if you’re not logged in already, you’ll be prompted to do so first). Please note that any changes will apply to all active orders on your account.
How do I cancel my SmartPak Pouches order if it is on AutoShip?
We’re sorry to see you go, but we understand that sometimes things change. To cancel your SmartPak Pouches, visit our AutoShip Manager on our website (if you’re not logged in already, you’ll be prompted to do so first). Next click on Manage SmartPak Pouches button next to your horse’s order. From there you’ll be taken to the SmartPak Pouches Manager, where you’ll have the ability to cancel your order by selecting the link labeled “Cancel this SmartPak”. From there you’ll be asked to complete a few quick questions and will then receive confirmation that your order has been cancelled.
What if my horse won’t eat the supplements?
We’ve carefully chosen and developed our supplements to be palatable for even the pickiest eaters, but some horses might need additional encouragement. In our experience, adding a different aroma/flavor the horse likes can often be enough to entice them into trying the supplements. Examples include adding applesauce, a small amount of molasses, or Equi-Sweet, which is a sugar-free flavoring that you can pour over the feed. If your horse receives a pelleted feed, sometimes adding water or vegetable oil can make the supplements stick to the grain and help enhance palatability. Can I return unopened SmartPak Pouches?
Since each set of SmartPak Pouches is custom-packed for your horse, as well as for health and safety reasons, we are not able to accept supplements back for return once they have left our warehouse. That being said, all purchases at SmartPak are covered by our 100% Happiness Guarantee, so if you’re not satisfied, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
