They only leathers I buy.
I've been using Prestige leathers for years and just recently tried a different brand. Within a few weeks the new leathers have transitioned into neck straps and I reordered the Prestige again. Lesson learned.

Simply beautiful
I bought these leathers for my new calfskin saddle. I purchased the Pessoa GenX Natural saddle in oakbark, and these tobacco leathers match it perfectly! The leathers are great quality and I could not be happier with them. They are are on the thicker side, but still fit my stirrups with no problem. I also really like how the holes are numbered. Great purchase!

Always love these leathers
The last pair lasted me 15 years! Just bought two sets for a new saddle and to replace the old ones. Never any stretch. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because they are quite short for dressage, even at the longest option.

Very nice leathers!
These are super soft and supple right out of the box! I bought these to go with my new Antares signature jumping saddle and stitching goes perfect with it! They are easy to adjust and don't scratch while doing so.

Gorgeous-- but too short for me!
These are my favorite leathers. I have them on both my jump saddles, so when I needed a new pair for my dressage saddle, it was a no-brainer. They're soft, wear well, the buckle lays flat and unnoticeable under your thigh. However, they're only available from Smartpak in the 145cm length in black-- which is too short! I'm 5'7" with slightly longer than average leg, so keep this in mind if you're shopping for dressage leathers. Smartpak: please consider carrying the longer length Prestige leathers!

Great quality!
These leathers are really nice. They are high quality, with nice stitching, and though lined, they are thin enough to be unobtrusive under the leg. The numbered holes are handy, too. The leather is soft right out of the bag, and it has conditioned well to darken, too. Highly recommend if you are looking for a set of leathers that will go the distance, safely, with you.

Soft and supple right out of the box!!
I love these stirrups. They don't pinch and are soft and supple straight out of the box. I love my leather dark. And the brown ones darkened up with just 5 applications of darkener. I adore these stirrup leathers!

Excellent Stirrup Leathers!
I decided to invest some money on a better pair of Stirrup leather to replace another pair that had stretched a lot after just six months of use. I am very happy with the quality of the leather and how soft it was even the first time I used it. I chose this stirrup leather because of the nylon core feature that helps to prevent stretching, and because of the fact that the buckle does not create a bulk under your leg, so this feature makes this pair of stirrup leather very comfortable. The tobacco color matched my Stubbed Siegfried saddle pretty well. So far, I am pleased with this product.

So good I had to buy them again!
I purchased these leathers almost 10 years ago and wore through the leather two years ago--but they never stretched or were in danger of breaking so I kept putting off purchasing a new pair. Finally I did, and they're just as good as the originals. They're worth every penny.

Love, love, love!
These were my first stirrup leathers and I'm so glad that I invested in such a nice pair! The leather is very soft and durable, but mine stretched about a hole's length, and I'm not even 100 lbs. Also, the buckles have held up very nicely, aside from the fact of them being a "thin" metal. The other reviewers who've stated that their leathers couldn't fit through the eye of their stirrup irons must have older stirrup models, because mine fit just fine. You don't want too much space between the iron and leather, or else it would slip all over! I conditioned mine before I used them, but they did squeak while I rode for around 5 or 6 rides. I feel confident that these leathers will last me for years to come!

Buttery soft!
I bought these calf leathers along with the Bates to go with a new-to-me French saddle. The Bates leathers were nice but the Prestige leathers were so much softer - I rode in a show in them the next day. Lined leathers are a little thicker than I'm used to but I've very happy with this purchase.

leather is too thick
these leathers are a lovely, soft leather, and the tobacco color matched my saddle perfectly. The metal part is thin, as advertised, but the leather is at least 2 mm thicker than the metal part. They were too thick for my stirrup bars so I returned them. Other reviewers have mentioned the thickness of the leather being a concern as well.

Very soft
I got the brown for my cc saddle, and while the color was nice, I wouldn't call it tobacco-- more like between milk chocolate and oakbark. They are *very* soft and durable calfskin, but rather thick-- they made too much of a bulge between my leg and the saddle flap, it was a little uncomfortable. With both the color and the thickness against them, I sadly sent them back.

Super soft
I bought these stirrup leathers because the Antares pair were out of stock and I needed a calfskin pair ASAP. While they do not have any bulk where the buckle sits, the leather is somewhat thick and I cannot adjust the stirrup length from in the saddle because they are so hard to move. They also did stretch about one hole even though they have the nylon core; however, I've yet to not encounter that problem with any leathers I've purchased. The leather is super soft and they will certainly not scratch the leather on your saddle or boots, which has been a problem with leathers I've previously owned that are not calfskin. Overall I think the stirrup leathers are worth what I spent on them, but because of the difficulty to adjust the length I would probably spend the extra $70 and buy the Antares pair again.

Nice, but too light
As far as quality goes, so far they are great! I can see the difference instantly in the wear on my saddle. However, I bought the tobacco color thinking that it would be dark. It was more of a red brown color and was far to light for my dark brown saddle. Be prepared to need to darken these leathers.

Nice but color different than expected
These leathers were soft & supply right out of the box. These are much lighter in color than pictured, more of a pecan than the dark chocolate color I wanted. I did return for something different, but thought the quality was nice (although a little pricey).

I have had these leathers for about 3 months now; I needed calfskin leathers to go with a new (to me) calfskin saddle.
I absolutely adore these leathers! They are incredibly thin feeling, and adjust easily from the saddle. They did take about 2-3 weeks to break in, and in that time stretch about 2-3 holes. However, the leathers have not stretched since then. If you are looking for some fabulous, high quality leathers, these are it!

Beautiful Leathers!!
I recently bough a used French saddle and was unaware that my old "normal" leathers would scratch it... low and behold, you live and you learn. Before too much damage was done, I asked around and learned that calfskin leathers were a must on the soft French leather. Duh, makes sense.
So I did some research... I knew whatever I bought was going to be pricey (relatively speaking), and I wanted the best for the money. Internet message boards gave these some great reviews, and the price seemed comparable (if not better) than other brands.
I was really surprised to get them. These are my first calfskin leathers and they are crazy soft. I had some difficulty getting my old "normal" leathers on the saddle in question (even though the saddle was used, and so were the leathers!), but had NO difficulty with these. They slipped right on, and have been very easy to adjust.
I haven't used them very much yet, so can't comment on how they hold up. I have the tobacco colored leathers, and I believe they only came in 53" length... I am 5'7" with long legs and I am almost the only one who ever rides in my saddles (well, at least nobody taller ever gets in them). I HATE a lot of stirrup leather tail dangling down from the keeper, and because of that, I used to actually order 48" leathers which gave me just enough to put through my keeper. The 53" leathers are not annoying me yet, so that's good.
I will say the ONLY thing I would change about them (so far) is that the holes are an inch apart. I prefer leathers with half holes because 1) I ride a lot of different horses and sometimes a half hole is the subtle difference you need to be comfortable and 2) I hate having to punch holes in things myself, especially expensive things.
