Love these boots!
I have been wanting a pair of Dubarry's for so long. I am so glad that I finally splurged and got the Longfords. They are really comfortable and stylish. I've worn them in the mud at the barn, out to dinner, and just about everywhere since I got them a few weeks ago. My shoes size is usually a 7 1/2 or 8, and i have the size 39.

The Dubarry Longford boots will get you noticed!!! The following items will make your life easier: bootjack, English riding socks, boot pulls, and the Dubarry shoe & boot wear care pack. The Longford boots have a stiff instep, and a tight calf. My calf is 16 inches and my US boot size is 7.5, defiantly size up, I choose a 39. The riding sock is the only way I got this boot over jeans, and the sock made for easier removal of the boot. The boot slips inside the shoe and the boot pulls got the boot up and over my calf. The boot jack will ensure you don’t lose your mind when your alone trying to remove these boots. Otherwise toe, heel, toe, heel, with help for removal of boots. Agonized over the color choice, and finally decided on black and brown. The black stand out and the brown detail makes them not just a basic one color boot. On a side note, every time I see a person in Dubarry boots they generate awesome conversation. The Longford’s are town and country fashion staple in your attire. My hope is that they will stretch a bit, and can I retire the required items in the future. P.S. Love Smartpak’s return policy, if you disagree with my favorite boot you can exchange them for free.

Have not held up
I have loved these boots for the past year - super comfortable, look great, and have kept my feet warm and dry. Sadly, in the last week they've developed a small crack in the top of the boot, where it flexes over the toes. I'm still wearing them because I love them so much, but I think I'll end up with wet feet if/when I walk in wet conditions.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
I bought these about a month ago after having my eye set on them for years. They're wonderful boots! I am typically an 8.5 and the size 40 fit perfectly. My calves are a little wider though and the boot has a fairly slim calf. Despite this, I am still able to wear them over skinny jeans. I've worn these hiking on some easy trails, wandering around Helsinki in the pouring rain, and trekking all sorts of places. They were comfortable, reliable, and DRY the entire time. While these boots are a splurge, the quality, craftsmanship,and comfort are worth it!

Everything I wanted! Amazing!
After many years of wish listing a pair of Dubarry's my hubs bought me a pair for my birthday. He chose the long ford style because of the inner calf patch for riding (light riding). He knows I have tall boots for my dressage work but often worry about scratching my tall boots when trail riding. He was right. These are perfect. Previously I had 3 pairs of shoes at the barn. Paddock boots for general barn work, tall rubber boots for bathing, and tennis shoes for long days or a lot of hand walking. Oh yeah, then my tall boots. Now...I have TWO at the barn. My Dubarrys work for EVERYTHING and switch to dressage tall boots for arena. However on a light day I will gladly back in my dubarrys. Obviously they don't have as much ankle support as my dressage boots but for light work it's fine. They are tall enough that the top of boots doesn't catch on saddle panel too. I have given baths in them and had dry socks afterwards. And I don't have to tie up boots! If you wanted one pair of boots that can do it all, it's these.

Head Over Heels
I am absolutely in love with my new Longfords. They fit perfectly -- from my soles to my calves. The design is absolutely gorgeous, and the leather is soft and supple. They're weather-proof, supportive & comfy and I'm so happy to finally have them during barn chores. I'm usually a size 9-9.5 but after reading reviews here, I decided to get a 10 (a size 42). There's juuuust the right amount of minimal room in front of my toes, and the width for my normal/wide feet is spot on. They're so stinking cute, super practical and fit wonderfully. What else could a girl ask for?!

An Excellent Investment
I was initially very hesitant to purchase a pair of Dubarry boots, but I am SO glad that I made the investment in the Longford boots. I needed boots that could go from barn life to 'real life' easily, and these certainly do the job. They do run narrow in the leg and the foot, so may not work for people with wider feet and calves, but since I have narrow feet and slim calves, they fit perfectly! So far they have proven to be durable, 100% waterproof, comfortable, and beautiful. The construction and materials are top-notch, and I feel that it was money well spent!

I love them except for...
These boots are great looking. I love them except... I wish they had a smooth leather patch inside at the point where your foot turns the corner to go into the foot of the boot. It is very tight there and your foot doesn't slide easily around that corner making them hard to pull on and off. Otherwise great boots.

Love these boots!
I really like these boots. I ordered the first pair in my regular size and it was good in the foot bed but tight on my instep (I do have a high instep) so I returned for a half size bigger. I was surprised at how much wider the whole length of the boot was with just a half size bigger, it I am so glad I kept them as I can wear thicker socks with them. They are so comfortable I can wear them 16 hours straight including a lot of walking. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that I think they're a little pricey.
