Hasn't improved my horse's gut digestion
This is quite an expensive product for not improving my horses digestion. It hasn't made his fecal matter worse, I used 2 products that gave him massive diarrhea after one dose, but there has been no improvement after a week's use, while I tried smartdigest paste and saw improvement in just half a dose, and the best gut microbiome supplement was actually proviable DC for dogs and cats. I saw drastic improvement with his fecal matter, his mood, and his belly within a few doses. The best part is that I only need 2 pills(large dog amount) to see a drastic improvement. I was pretty disappointed with Gastroplex and how expensive it is but every horse is different.

Pleasantly Surprised
I brought both my boys home recently from a small muddy pasture to 2 acres of wonderful grass. My arab cross, who has traditionally been a picky eater but was eating well, became very reticent to eat his special blend/alfalfa pellets and normal supplements he was on before the move. I tried wetting it and switching him back to plain alfalfa pellets, with minimal improvement in appetite. He was also ignoring the grass at times and actively pawing and eating a large rotting stump versus fresh grass or alfalfa hay - this isn't right... To top it off, he was becoming excessively cranky about even light leg on his right flank while under saddle. I didn't want to put him on a PPI and started researching gut supplements with low expectations - I had him on a high cost total gut supplement in the past and it did nothing for him except cause diarrhea. I picked this supplement on a whim, and wow has it made a difference. I was concerned at first due to the strong smell of the pellets, I'm thinking there is no way this horse is going to touch this. The horse loves it, and within a couple days he's eating his grain, his supplements, hay and leaving the stump alone. Five days in and now he's running up from the pasture at feeding time and whinnying for dinner, no joke. I really had low expectations that a bunch of random herbs and minerals would do much for him, but I was very wrong. I haven't been on him since hes seemed to start feeling better but am hopeful he will be less grumpy under saddle as well.

Another MVP Success
I have a 4 year old Trakehner who is undergoing treatment for EPM. In addition, he is the kind of horse who is ulcery by nature. I purchased this to follow up 30 days of UlcerGard and am pleased with the results. He is cleaning up his meals, and is better about eating hay during the day. He is less reactive to girthing, and his overall demeanor seems more settled.

Saw good results for my gelding
He was showing signs of minor ulcers, since I had switched his routine and put him in a stall during the day, instead of full pasture, for weight management and uv exposure reasons. The signs went away with this product after a few weeks. I just dont want to overdo the licorice root. I also have him on hilton herbs freeway, and omega horseshine. I have had excellent improvements with those as well. I believe it worked excellent and will probably use it again this coming fall

Worked great!
I bought this about 6 weeks ago and it has helped greatly. About 3 weeks in my horse had to go on antibiotics and this kept him from getting an upset stomach on top of everything else and my horse eats it right up

What a difference
Per my vet diagnosing my ultra grumpy gelding with hind gut users I began adding powdered marshmallow root to his diet. He wasn't happy about eating it but with the addition of molasses he begrudgingly ate it. Fortunately the results were fenominal. Everything improved, his attitude, his gaits, his desire to try, and best of all he could stretch his hind legs behind himself. As he hated the marshmallow root powder, my search for a pelleted SmartPak supplement containing it began. So far Gastroplex is keeping him happy and comfortable. The fact that he readily consumes the pelleted Gastroplex is an added bonus.
