GI support for horses under stress
dac® Cool Gut is designed to support gastric health in horses who are exposed to the normal stress associated with exercise and training. The targeted ingredients in this formula include l-glutamine, an amino acid that is essential to the growth and function of your horse’s stomach lining, and calcium carbonate, which helps maintain proper gut pH and proper gut flora. In addition, this formula provides fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and mannanoligosaccharides (MOS), which are prebiotics that support the beneficial bacteria in your horse’s hindgut. Finally, it contains glycine and whey protein concentrate, which both support a healthy stomach lining.

Works great!
I use this on my ulcer prone mare, it’s the only thing that works for her. I’ve tried all the expensive supplements including, alimend, herbal supplements, succeed, equisure, and smart pak brand ulcer supplements. (I did initially treat with ulcer guard) this is the only thing that keeps her comfortable along with aloe vera juice this has been a game changer plus it’s affordable! My horse eats it no problem. Would recommend for any horse!

Smells terrible. He won't eat it.
So wish this would have been usable. It smells terrible and my horse took one sniff and refused to eat it. No matter what I mixed it with, he refused. Even his pig of a brother wouldn't touch the stuff.

We love DAC Cool Gut!
We love it! It does stink terrible but after we were consistent, she finally started eating it! She’s super picky! This supplement has helped my mare so much! I’m so thankful smart pak carries it now!

Horse Would Not Eat
I have a picky eater. He doesn’t like apple and is cautious about anything different. This product does not smell pleasant to say the least. My horse who normally gobbles grain with little mess was actively spitting out the cool gut on the ground. I wish he would eat it, but to say it’s picky eater approved is a lie. For the price I was hoping for more.

Seriously works!
I’d used this with my previous horse and it helped him gain the weight he needed quickly. Just added this to my current Smartpak’s and can’t wait to see the physical change in my new horse!!! Would recommend this to everyone!!!!

Bad taste
Was really hoping this would help out my mare who suffers from ulcers but unfortunately she will not eat it no matter what I mis it with. Not even mixed in a whole grain bucket of beet pulp...

Great Stuff!
Thank you for finally carrying this product! I was so sad when this product helped my horse but was not carried by Smartpak. Now I get to start my Smartpak back up again and use the lovely autoship feature that I love SO much! This product is not the best tasting on the market but after a while (took mine a good month) they do get use to the taste and smell.

Great Supplement
I've been using this supplement for about a month with a hard keeper miniature horse. She eats it with no problem and she's a picky eater. I do think I've seen improvement with her on this supplement and I'll continue using it for her.

Smells/Tastes horrible according to my horse
I cannot get my horse to eat this. I have tried everything I can think of. He will put it in his mouth with certain great-tasting masking treats (jelly, syrup, honey, etc.), but then nods his head and spits it out and it goes everywhere. I'm on a solid week of trying and I've had no success.
