First, it provides both high-quality protein sources and bioavailable amino acids to support the normal development of lean muscle. It also includes a proprietary herbal blend that supports a healthy ratio of muscle cell build up to muscle cell break down. Finally, it contains probiotics to help your horse make the most of their feed. Rated 4 out of 5 by CrimsonsClover from Results and Palatability The powder smells amazing (like a vanilla milkshake) and both my picky eaters were happy to eat it mixed in to some soaked hay pellets or beet pulp. It gets quite sticky with water so I had to adjust how much water I added to keep it from being a sticky ball that was not interesting to the horses. The results have been pretty good. I used this primarily on my 27 year old Holsteiner/Thoroughbred gelding who is in light to moderate work 3-5 days a week. He is in decent shape but was not building much muscle despite his workload, especially on his topline. The photos do not do the results justice. In person there is a big difference in the hollows behind his shoulders and the muscle over his lumbar area. I loved that it was a 6 week program, and they give you enough for 10 weeks if you choose to continue (I chose to feed the remainder to my other horse). I do wish it wasn't quite so expensive which is why I gave it 4 stars.
