Colors are switched This is a beautiful bridle, and would have been exactly what I wanted if it had been as pictured- however, the coloring is actually opposite of what is shown, so that the padding is dark and the body of the bridle is light - it looks like item #17225 instead. January 29, 2013
love this bridle!! I love this bridle! I bought it for my 16.2 chestnut oldenburg gelding and thought the color would blend too much with his coat but it doesn't, it is just a shade darker than it looks like on the screen. It does run large, I am on the second to last hole on the bridle. However, I am okay with it and it still fits great! My only concern is that my horse has since stepped on his reins and broken them beyond repair. I cannot find another set of reins that match the bridle well enough so it would be great if Smartpak could sell reins separately for people like me who have clumsy horses :) Overall I love this bridle and it is totally worth the price. Fantastic!!! I recently puchased this bridle for my quarter horse gelding, he is built like the average qh, stocky with a large head, I found that this bridle is a bit long, im on the seccond to last hole on the caveson and the third to last on the cheek peices. But the width is perfect for his wide head. I decided to stay at the full size because of this. The leather is a beautifull dark color, the padding isn't as orange as it shows in the picture, i wish it was but the bridle is still gorgeous. Well worth every penny. Oiled it once before riding and then I just clean it with a cleaner/conditioner after i use it or once every couple weeks. I ride english and western so I dont use it every time I ride. My horse is much more comfortable in this bridle. No more fighting the caveson and he dosn't get pinched by his ears. Over all it is a fantastic product, yet again from SmartPak October 14, 2012
Nice bridle I bought this bridle to replace my cob sized Harwich from my old 15.2h horse. The cob in the Harwich was too small for my new 17h mare, but this full size Wellfleet is a bit large. We're on the 2nd to first holes all around. The leather is quite nice and the color oils up very nicely. It's also beautifully constructed, but... it has a big "Wellfleet" logo stamped on the crown (which I could live without) and there's no padding under the noseband buckle like the less expensive Harwich has. I was a bit disappointed, but I'm keeping it anyway. Overall it's a nice bridle. July 27, 2012
Great Buy! I love this bridle, it was just what I was looking: durable, supple leather and soft padding in all the right places and at a reasonable price. The stitching and color is gorgeous. It fits my horse's head great, he has a smaller head but needed the full size. I have oiled it twice and since then it has loosened up very nicely. A couple other people at my barn have been going to the SmartPak line of bridles and they have all been very pleased with the look and overall quality. January 30, 2012
Great bridle for school and show Really nice quality bridle. It oiled up well and looks like it will hold up well enough in training that I can take it to shows too. January 20, 2012

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
