Wow... Just Wow
This breastplate... it has so many things going for it, it got the looks and durability. I bought a full, and it fits my fine boned 16 hh OTTB mare with a little adjustment which I expected because of my horse's build. Yes it's expensive, but I got it on sale and paid just a little more than I would have for the Ovation breastplate. The leather quality is great but I recommend oiling it well before the first use. The padding is a nice touch. Overall very nice product, Smartpak has outdone themselves once again!

Great Product - even better Customer Service!
We purchased the Wellfleet 5 point breatplate and made the mistake of ordering a horse instead of a cob. While with a lot of jury rigging even that fit and worked great, we contacted Smartpak to ask to return it for a cob... you of course said "send it in"... and now the cob fits like a glove, my horse loves it and it works like a charm.
So it's an unbeatable combination - A Great Product and Even Better Customer Service!!

GORGEOUS!
This is made of high-quality leather, stitching is tight, and the sheepskin pads are soft. The fit is perfect and can be adjusted to any horse! The running martingale attachment is detachable. All hardware is tough and heavy-duty and the elastic is thick, doubled, and works very well at keeping my saddle in place with zero slippage. This is a gorgeous piece of equipment and very effective! Worth the $$$

Eventing "cred"!
So I only compete Novice, but I like having the best equipment for the safety and eventing "cred." The Wellfleet Five Point Breastplate is impeccable! The leather is gorgeous with padding everywhere and generous fleece on the shoulder points. Not only is this a great option for safely holding my saddle in place over drops, but it looks great on course and in the show jumping ring, too! Love the tonal brown elastic – hides dirt/sweat and also coordinates really well with tack. Cob size actually fits my average-size Thoroughbred really well with dee-savers. Would only love it more if you had the option to remove the clip at the girth and just loop the girth through (was an excuse to get a new girth with a D-ring though...)
