Veredus Carbon Shield Heel Protector Boots 3 5 1 1
They Better Fit for a Price Like That! I have been wanting these overreach boots for my 17.2 appendix mare for over a year now and I finally broke down and purchased them. I have to say, there was a warning in small print that I saw on the box, that I actually didn't see any where else in the description, that I really should have taken notice of! It warns that these boots do NOT work well for horses that have low heels... of course, my horse has very low heels! I tried them anyways as I was desperate for something to use as she overreaches BAD; not one stride goes by without major clicking! Oddly enough, one of them fit her foot really well (even with having very low heals) but the other twisted multiple times (even after I got off to readjust/reapply about 4 times per ride). Apparently my mare has one front foot that is not shaped the same as the other... the boot kept rotating because it was too small. If they fit your horse well, I think these are GOLDEN! They are made well, very pretty to look at and really work to protect from a major over reacher! I would highly recommend these boots but be warned, they wont work and you will be disappointed if they don't fit properly or you have a horse with one foot slightly bigger/smaller than the other! They are designed to fit like a glove... snug. September 10, 2012

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
