Nice at first, but didn't hold up

Very nice half chaps
For everyday schooling, I prefer half chaps to save my more expensive tall boots. (My last few pairs of half chaps have been Ariats-also great, but the snaps seem to break before too long). According to other reviews of this product, the snaps can also be an issue with these as well....so I did take to heart somebody's suggestion to use a little oil on the snaps, so they don't stick so tight. I have wide calves, but these fit great from the get-go. They are extremely comfortable and look great! In fact, they fit about as well as custom would (amazing with my conformation)! As to durability, I cannot really comment yet since I've only had them about a month. The only thing that might improve them is to have a tad more padding or depth of leather on the area which has contact with the tack (as Ariat's do). However, there is more "feel". They fit great with my Ariat paddocks and match. If these last awhile, they will likely be my go-to brand to replace in the future.

Great Product
I really like these half chaps. They are true to size and the leather is nice. The other reviews are correct that the bottom buttons stick and are hard to get off. I just don't use them. I still like these more than any other half chaps I ever had.

Worth the money
I bought these half chaps about 4 months ago and I love them. My old half chaps were synthetic and looking ratty so I decided to splurge for the nicer ones. I have very short calfs so I really appreciated all of the sizing options. I could barely get them on when I bought them but after a month or so they stretched out and now they fit like a glove. They are very grippy and look great with my Tredstep paddock boots. They are super easy to clean and the leather is worth the money. I'm so glad I bought them!

Great chaps for tiny legs
My 10 year old needed chaps for a better grip on her horse, but her calves are SO thin, we had a hard time finding chaps that were small enough but also tall enough. She's thin AND tall! The Tredstep chaps fit her great. They're just starting to wear in and stretch a little which makes them fit like a glove. We'd definitely buy these again, even given the higher price.

Durable Chaps!
I've had these for the past 5 or so years. They finally started to rip a little along the seam at the heel. Tried a new version of these and the G2 ones and ended up going with the others, but these are still great chaps.
My main "complaint" was that the part over the top of the boots in the front is a little bit big, so wearing spurs over them isn't as tidy as with the G2 ones. But I wore them for 5 years & just put my spurs under the chaps - not a big deal (unless I wanted to remove the spurs while riding).
Overall, these are nice looking, durable chaps.
