Tipperary Ride-Lite Vest
The vest was a great purchase, it fits comfortably and is very light. I would highly recommend the vest for beginners.

Perfect Fit For My Riding
After trying 2 other vests, I struck gold with the Tipperary Ride-Lite!
Due to major surgery I needed a vest to protect my mid-section while out on rocky trails. The Ride-Lite covers the affected area well and is so comfortable I hardly know it's on.
The vest is super easy to adjust for a perfect fit. The back length is short enough to provide adequate coverage, but not too long that it interferes with the cantle on my Western Dressage Saddle.
I would highly recommend it to someone looking for a vest to use in combination with a Western Saddle, for trail or pleasure riding purposes.

Good for starters
Purchased when I thought I would try eventing. This is a great body protector for those just starting out. Inexpensive, very lightweight, easy to clean, and breathable. You hardly notice you're wearing it while in the saddle! Please note, however, that it does NOT provide tailbone protection.
Only gave 4 stars for durability as I have not used it long enough to attest to that, but it seems like it will hold up.
HINT*** Youth Large fits most small adults/teens and is $20 cheaper!

I started eventing this year and needed a vest. Size fits great. It feels bulky when you're not riding but under saddle I don't even realize I'm wearing it. Great first vest to start eventing in & to school in.

OK for casual riding
I bought this to wear while training my 4yo mare. I have a Tipperary eventer vest, but it is too long to wear while riding in my mare's western saddle. I measured carefully and selected the tall large, same as my eventer vest. When I received the vest, it seemed very large. The velcro fasteners around the chest are as short as I can make them, as are the shoulder adjustments. This vest also seems much, much hotter than my eventer vest. The vest cover is washable, but the openings that allow you to remove the foam gape open- maybe there could have been a velcro closure or similar? I guess you get what you pay for, and this really is marketed to the casual or recreational rider.

Not bad considering...
Vest feels stiff when you put it on but when riding is not noticable. Is nice and light. Velcro allows you to make it fit almost perfectly
