The Tailored Sportsman Royal Hunter Low-Rise Breech 4.1 5 7 8
Odd Fit I was excited to purchase my first pair of Tailored Sportsmans but I am disappointed with the fit of this particular pair. The calf/leg area seems extremely tight just below the knee patch. The ankle and knee areas fit fine but that one area was uncomfortably tight. They also seem a bit short, I'm 5'7" and the breeches seemed short as soon as I pulled them on. That being said, the material seems to be of excellent quality and I like the beige color. Would definitely consider another pair of Tailored Sportsman breeches of another style. April 17, 2013
I love TS, but.... I was very excited to see these breeches on Sale (in my size no less!), so I swooped in and grabbed a pair. The TSs I've had before were the TS Breech & The Professional, so when these came in, I didn't realize they were only the 2-way stretch. The color was also listed as "beige". Well, I didn't realize that it was also the "khaki beige", not "tan". That being said, I did return them, but it was mostly my misunderstanding. I also found that the cut was narrower through the hips than the other cuts I've had. April 4, 2013
Like the look to TS but runs small TS seem to be all you see in the show ring! I like the look but they ran very small in the legs and calfs and didn't have much stretch and when in the saddle that is very important. I also HATE that TS hasn't upgraded their breeches to not have the stupid velcro leg closures! They make breeches very uncomfy under tall boots. Since i bought these and they didn't work I am just going to but the SmartPak breeches, i think they look great and I keep hearing good things about them! April 4, 2013
Love these, but... does anyone else have a problem with these breeches being too bulky under tall boots? All my Tailored Sportsmans have been like that--the calf velcro closing isn't very secure and the breeches bunch up under my tall boots. Maybe what TS should make is a 2-way stretch breech (for those of us who don't like breeches that look like tights) but make the lower half of the calf out of four way stretch material, so that it can be tighter and stretch smoothly over the leg and lie better under boots. Or maybe I just have disproportionately skinny calves. September 29, 2012
I got these breeches for free, but I'm not quite sure I'd pay $200 for them so the value is a little iffy for me. However, the breeches hold up great. Mine had been used during many, many shows before I got them and there is not one flaw on them. They feel great and fit great and the breech is perfect for both schooling and showing. October 2, 2011
Taylored Sportsman Always Classic TS breeches, not quite as nice as the 4 way stretch but good for the money. May 20, 2011
