About Jeff the Chef W
2001 Chestnut Dutch Warmblood Gelding, 18 hh
Jeff the Chef W was purchased by Silva's husband, Boyd, at an Australian auction in
2002. Sired by Jive Magic, a Dutch Warmblood by the Grand Prix dressage sire Jazz,
Jeff was successfully broken in as a two year old by Boyd, and taken to his first
dressage show at three. As a five year old, Jeff was starting to show exceptional
promise, placing third in the Australian Young Horse Dressage Championships in
Melbourne. In the beginning of 2007, Jeff joined Boyd and Silva as they relocated
from Australia to their new home in Pennsylvania. Jeff's dressage career in America
has been filled with great success, winning and placing at nearly every outing.
About Silva:
Silva Martin is an accomplished dressage rider and has quickly become one of the
most sought-after dressage trainers in the country. Based out of True Prospect Farm
in West Grove, PA, Silva runs a training business, Windurra USA, with her husband
Boyd Martin. A native of Germany, Silva holds her Bereiter's license and has
competed through Grand Prix level. Her current mount, Jeff the Chef W, is a nine year-
old Dutch Warmblood gelding. Silva purchased him as a yearling and he has
been competing very successfully in the small tour, and has moved up to Grand Prix.
Eventually Silva hopes to ride for the United States and hopes that Jeff the Chef W
will help her achieve this goal.
