quality products delivered quickly thank you Smart pak for offering prescription products. i was out of town with my horse and needed a round of antibiotics. it was great to be able to have my vet call in a scrip and have it delivered quickly!!! April 23, 2012
Good for lots of things! I have used these to treat a variety of problems over the years. Currently using them to help clear up a severe case of dew poisoning that wouldn't respond to topical treatment. Thankfully (and shockingly) my gelding eats them whole in his feed, so super easy to use! July 27, 2011
value ++ excellent price!! something that every medicine cabinet needs on hand September 3, 2010
Quality that came quickly Needed SMZs quickly & got them within 2 days w/standard shipping. August 9, 2010
Surprisingly easy to use. My vet said to dissolve this Rx in a bit of water & put on my horse's feed, that most horses will readily eat it. Lo and behold - she was right (almost). I tried mixing his 14 tablets with soaked alfalfa pellets - bleah. His reaction was the same with the Rx mixed in his beet pulp & bran. Syringing the Rx down his throat was a huge battle. What works for my Mr. Picky is to grind up his dose and mix it DRY with a mixture made up of a 1 lb of TC Sr feed, a 1/2 lb of Omelene and a splash of corn oil. The dry, powdered SMZ/TMP sticks to the oily feed and Mr. Picky eats it all up. The first couple of times without the Omelene he ate rather slowly; with the added sweet feed he now gobbles it up. This is good, because we are looking at 30 days of treatment, 14 tablets twice a day. :) March 1, 2010
Simple & effective My horse took SMZs for a "cold" - his runny nose had progressed to where the right side of his head was sore from his muzzle to his jowl. We put the ground up tablets in his feed with molasses twice per day and he showed complete improvement within 2 days. His complete course of medication lasted 10 days with no problems.
