Stubben EZ Control Loose Ring 4.5 5 4 4
under sized The 5" measured about 1/4" smaller than sized. Returned unused. Friend said her trainer tried one and none of the horses in her barn liked it - mostly baroque horses with small, sensitive mouths. August 24, 2012
Excellent idea! I bought this for a 6 y.o. Irish Sport Horse mare that could get "on the muscle" and tense. This bit gave me just that little bit extra control when I needed to shoot her a RIDER ALERT text and keep her attention on me. She likes it and chews and foams up nicely but also has no fear of it either. March 6, 2012
very effective i've tried quite a few dressage legal bits and i was presented with this bit at the World Equestrian Games. I bought it, brought it home and what do you know! My horse who is very heavy in the hand and a hyper head, really learned to accept this bit comfortably and generally stays consistantly on the bit now. Love it! February 5, 2011
Magic! This bit is super for horses that are heavy in the contact or pull occasionally. It really seems to 'teach' the horse as you ride and for my heavy guy, made him significantly lighter in the contact. I love this bit. December 22, 2010

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
