"I had been riding for sixteen years and wasn’t sure if I’d ever be able to afford my own horse. This past summer, with the support of my trainer, my husband, and my father-in-law (who gave me Peppy!), my dream finally came true. Peppy was shipped all the way from Texas to Connecticut, where he started his English career as a four year old. I immediately started him on Omega Horseshine to help grow out his pitiful tail and improve his hooves, and grow and improve they did! Shortly after, I noticed he was getting irritable when I touched his belly or tightened the girth. Suspecting stomach ulcers, I started him on U-Gard, and the symptoms went away completely. Then, eight months after owning Peppy, he was diagnosed with a torn suspensory ligament. He was immediately placed on stall rest, and I was devastated that after waiting for sixteen years to own my own horse, eight months later he was being laid up (he’s on week 9 of stall rest). My normally laid-back appendix turned into the “rearing Black Stallion”, so I decided to cut out all grain, and start him on SmartVite Maintenance Grass multi-vitamin to ensure he still received the appropriate vitamins & minerals. "I certainly couldn't bear to see him go anywhere else or possibly even further away than he already was. So in October, the only thing I could do was to look around for someplace I could afford on my own so I could pay his board myself. I think fate brought us together, because I quickly found an open spot at an affordable barn less than 3 miles from my home with many acres of land, and his owner gave him to me as a free lease. I am so blessed to have him in my life!
As Dante's new owner and best buddy, I felt at 25 years old he deserved a little
bit of TLC when it comes to his aging body and old stifle injury. He would now be
moving around in very large paddocks with room to run and play with his new and
much younger barn-mates, and let me tell you how much change I saw in him in just
one month! We are going on our 3rd month of SmartPaks which includes

for extra vitamins and minerals. This old boy is playing and trotting around to
his heart’s content, and his coat is shiny, thick and soft. His overall energy and

"Being a Thoroughbred, she has very thin skin, so every little fly that lands
on her makes her very irritable and angry. Her feet were starting to chip very easily
from stomping due to the flies, no matter how much moisturizer I put on them. Whenever
I started grooming her I always had to watch out for her hind feet because she would
just kick violently at the flies.
I started doing some research about different fly supplements and I came across
Bug Check.
I started reading the reviews on SmartPakEquine.com and there were people from very
buggy states saying it worked like a charm, so I got the SmartPaks to try it out.
It really does work! All in all she is a very happy horse this summer, and I owe
it all to the SmartPaks! So thank you SmartPak for making it easier to give her
the supplement and easier for the people who feed her. All they have to do now is
open a Pak and dump it in her food.
To sum all this up, SmartPaks are great if you are boarding, or even if you aren't

"At this point, since he’s only been under saddle off the track for about 7
months, we are just working on learning basics and seeing what we both enjoy doing
the most. No one at the barn can believe he is a five year old Thoroughbred, because
he is so sane and quiet and kind. Just yesterday, he came up to me from far across

"Blizzard came into my life in July of 2003. One day, when I went out to see
my other horse, I saw this poor, dejected little Paint Horse standing all by himself
in the corner of the pasture. He was 300 pounds underweight. Just a skeleton held
together by rainrot. He had cracks in his hooves that were half an inch wide all
the way to his coronet band. He had warts and ringworm all over his face, and had
a hole in his withers that went down to the bone. It was severely infected. The
look in his eyes said 'just let me die already'. Nobody had taken care of him for
a long time. Everyone said there was no hope for him. I thought differently. Something
clicked when I reached out to touch him. He nickered at me. Ears pricked, he streched
his nose out to take in my scent. Over the weeks, his eyes began to shine, as the
rainrot scabs fell off, a beautiful red dun sabino coat was revealed. His ribs weren't
as noticeable anymore. Slowly he became a majestic animal. When he was sound and
healthy again, I started him under saddle. He was amazing, never offered to buck
or rear."

"We were great partners, he knew what I wanted before I asked. Sadly, our partnership
was cut short when he started moving unsoundly again. I had radiographs done on
his hooves and they showed that over time his front right coffin bone had rotated
down (from the hoof trauma caused by the cracks), almost piercing the sole. He would
require expensive shoeing and supplements to remain sound enough to live in a pasture.

"This is my horse "Baby", which is a nickname, as he was four and
a half months old when we adopted him. His real name is Frank Sinatra. Baby is a
PMU, and he was rescued by New York Horse Rescue, (the most wonderful people in
the world)! He is from a ranch that makes the drug Premarin, an estrogen for hot
flashes. This drug is made from pregnant mares' urine, and my Baby and many others
are the unwanted by-products of this industry. By the way there are alternatives
to Premarin, and in fact I take one, the name is Cenestin, a plant derived alternative.
In a routine blood test Baby was found to be deficient in
Vitamin E & Selenium - looking online I found SmartPak. We have been
