SSG Windstopper 4.4 5 22 25
Long-lasting! Finally, I have found an SSG glove that doesn't end up with holes after one season! I have small hands and long fingernails and nearly all my gloves have holes in the tips of the fingers and on the inside of the thumbs (where I hold the reins). These have lasted 3 years, which makes me very happy. They do stop the wind pretty well but they are NOT warm enough for the really cold days. January 29, 2013
I LIVE IN THEM (and they're great driving gloves) It was pretty cold in CT these past couple of weeks with temps in the teens - but thats no reason not to ride! So while my legs - even in layers, were cold, my hands right down to my finger tips were perfectly cozy wearing these gloves. The grip is excellent and they are snug fitting so you can handle the reins with subtlety and a deft hand and anything else you need to do with no issues whatsoever. The composition is perfect. I love these gloves! And they're GREAT driving gloves too! January 29, 2013
great gloves I bought these gloves a few years ago, and I really like them. They are the only winter gloves I don't mind riding in because they are grippy enough on the palm yet thin enough that I can feel how I'm holding the reins, and there is not extra bulk from reinforcement fabric between the pinky and the ring finger, which I find very uncomfortable on most riding gloves, and none of the seams seem to bother me ;) I also like them for walking the dogs, grooming and anything else you'd do on cold days because, again, you can actually use your fingers in them, unlike in a lot of those extra heavy duty super super warm winter gloves. They've held up in the wash really well, which is great, since they're easy to clean. And the price is reasonable. I also like that they're not so warm that they make my hands sweat. That being said, on the very coldest winter days, if you're not moving around keeping yourself warm, you might need something heavier duty to keep your finger tips warm. December 31, 2012
Not in the least bit water resistant I do know the difference between the terms water resistant and water proof. These gloves are advertised as water resistant but they don't even come close. The minute I touch even a drop of water it soaks through the glove immediately and my hand (or finger) gets wet instantly. They have done this from the first time I wore them. It almost makes me think there was a manufacturing defect with them. While they are very comfortable and warm enough for above freezing temps, one can find the same thing for about half the price of these gloves. Sizing is not correct either, run small. According to SSG, I should wear a medium for my size 7.5 hand. Mediums were way too small. Larges are on the sloppy side. Overall quite disappointed with this glove. As a rule I typically like SSG gloves. December 29, 2012
My favorite gloves These gloves are absolutely fantastic. I am VERY hard on gloves, but these lasted me two winters, when my gloves usually only last 4 months. When temperatures were in the 30s, they kept my hands warm riding and doing barn chores. They really do prevent cold Michigan winter winds from slicing through. They are not bulky at all and I can easily tack up and adjust buckles without having to take them off. These are the perfect gloves for spring and fall and are by far the best pair of gloves I have bought. For the price, they just can't be beat. September 17, 2012
Amazing I LOVE these gloves. Very simple, order them if you ride in the cold, they are worth every penny!! January 11, 2012

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
