SSG Schooler Left/Right Gloves 5 5 2 2
Good value These gloves are great for the price! I haven't invested in superior gloves (> $50), so I don't have much to compare to. I can't imagine how much better more expensive gloves can be, though. These do the job great. They're tacky and help me keep good contact with the reins and horse. They are also washable, supposedly, which is a plus. They're black, so dirt shows up on them relatively easily; however it's easy to get the dirt out so far! I just give them a couple whacks on my leg and the dirt falls off. The only reason I gave these 3 stars for quality was because there's a long stretch on the forefinger where you can see the stitching out turned (facing you/the outside, instead of being hidden inside the glove). You can't notice it unless you're really looking, so it's not a big deal, but it is a reflection on quality. Sizing! These run a little large, I think. I have very wide, but short hands. I measured a 7.25-7.5", so I was going to size up. However, on the nice recommendation from a SmartPak employee, I chose a size 7 just because the fingers would be too long. They fit perfectly! Not too snug at all. There is a tiny bit of extra room at the fingertips, but I've got notoriously short hands. March 16, 2013
Good purchase These were pretty cheap gloves, but they seem pretty good! The fit was perfect (I used the measurement/size c provided) and they are pretty comfy. I am a beginner in riding, so I don't have much to compare them to. Not bad for someone who just needs a pair of gloves for practicing in. January 13, 2013

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
