Better than Forest Riders
Ordered these overpants to replace a pair of Mountain Horse Forest Riders that I wore out after 3 years. I wore a S in the Mountain Horse Forest Rider and an XS in the SmartPak. I love the elastic waist on the Smartpak overpants and the quality of the full leg side zipper is great-they feel sturdier and stay up better than the Mountain Horse zippers. I also appreciate the 2 front pockets. The length on the pants is perfect. I actually purchased a pair of Mountain Horse Polar Breeches and returned them because they were too long. The only thing that has been an issue so far is that the riding breech material attracts horse hair like a magnet...however, I do have to say that the breech fabric is great - no squeaks in the saddle, and the pants wash beautifully (I hang them to dry). I will definitely be purchasing a second pair to put in rotation. Final thing is that the quality of the insulation is amazing. Very warm and not too thick (I'm from WI and ride my sturdy Haflingers in temps down to 10 degrees). I'm fast becoming a fan of the SmartPak line of products!

Runs Large
This product seems well made but I had to return them for a smaller size which I had to return also as they were to large also.

GREAT over pants!
I purchased 2 pairs of the winter overpants - one for my daughter, and one for myself. They are very comfortable and WARM! We've had an unseasonably cold winter, and the pants work great! Also, one of the pants didn't fit and the return was the easiest EVER! I simply returned them in the original shipment box, put the included label on and designated what size I wanted and dropped it off at the UPS store. My correct size was delivered to me very quickly - no hassle, no cost! LOVE it!
