SmartPak Small Hole Hay Net - NEW! 4.5 5 221 235
Great Product! This net works as advertised. It kept my mare from eating all of her hay in a few minutes. Highly recommended! June 17, 2013
Great hay het!! I have been using hay nets for a while now and my horse will pull all the hay out and pick through what she wants. I ordered this because of the small holes and the great reviews I read. it really slowed down her feeding and now she eats slower. This was totally worth my money! It hold a ton of hay! It is surprisingly easy and fast to fill over a bucket and my horse can have hay in front of her all day! I fill it up morning and night and they when I fill, there is still hay in there and I know that she will have hay and no more worrying for me! I would recommend it to anyone! June 14, 2013
I Love this! I had to find a way to easily weigh out portions of hay, and to slow the consumption. With free feeding, the alpha would finish first and bully the other so I would over feed to keep the other fed. Now both are fed weighed portions and both finish about the same time so no bulling or hogging hay from the alpha. The hay also lasts longer so they are not chewing down the fencing or barn waiting for the next meal. The nets have been used daily for two weeks and so far no signs of wear. Easy to fill and hang. I haven't used it yet but. Truth is I haven't opened it yet but it looks to be a sturdy very nice hay net. May 10, 2013
Great for travel & show This haynet has reduced how many bales I have to pack to shows to keep the horses busy while trailering and stalled over the weekend. Now I can keep hay in front of them all day without it turning into bedding. May 7, 2013
How to tie so it doesn't hang to the ground Draw tight! Hold with two fingers at draw. Loop around and pull 1/2 way through. Gather the length of the rope and tie a round knot right at the draw, pulling 1/2 to 3/4 of the rope thru. Wallah! You have just raised your hay net about a foot and a half. I read a review that noted how low it hangs when empty. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out a way to tie them so they werent on the ground. My horses are barefoot so it wasn't a big issue, but shod horses can get caught in any net. Great Product. See picture for knot. I'm 5'2" on a good day and these are hung right at my height.
