Great girth for the money
I bought this girth for a mare who is thin skinned and extremely sensitive. She does not like a plain leather girth and I use the nylon fleece girths for schooling, so decided I needed a sheepskin show girth. I wasn't willing to spend $250+ on a girth, which is what most of the removable fleece girths cost. So this seemed like a great buy, and the removable fleece was a must so I could clean it for shows. The leather matches my chocolate brown saddle perfectly and is beautiful with the fancy white stitching. I do wish the sheepskin was whiter as it is more of an off-white and my half pad is bright white, but that's not such a big deal. The only negative I have to say is that the leather is very stiff and will develop surface cracks if you don't oil prior to use. I bought this right before a big show and didn't have time to oil it, so mine did get a few tiny surface cracks. They aren't noticable to anyone except me, and I oiled and conditioned the leather immediately after that show. Now the leather is soft and supple, and no longer cracking. I wish I would have treated it prior to use, but that is my own fault. Overall, very happy with this purchase and definitely beats spending $250 on a girth. My thin skinned mare is super happy and comfortable in this, and that was the most important thing.

Check that girth!
This girth is working well for us. I especially like the removable and replaceable sheepskin liner. If you use a puffy poly pad, be very sure to tighten the girth sufficiently, particularly when you first use it. The fluffy sheepskin and the poly pad will both "deflate" when you mount and the girth might slip, especially when the girth is new and the leather still a bit stiff.
Exceptional service from SmartPak once again. I ordered the girth in our usual size for our girths, which all have two elastic ends. It was too small. I did not know that girths with just one elastic end will probably need to be ordered a size longer. SmartPak sent out the larger girth immediately, so that I would have it for our schooling show that weekend, which is where I learned from practical experience that you must make absolutely sure your girth is tightened sufficiently.

Great Value!
I bought this girth because it was one of the cheapest girths that featured the removable sheepskin which allows for easy cleaning. I have had it for over a year now and love it! It is so easy to clean and withstands all the abuse that I give it.

Great girth!
This girth is beautiful! The sheepskin is high quality and the leather is too. I was afraid that my saddle would be slipping around (I never used a sheepskin girth before) but my saddle stayed in place just fine. I bought this for my horse that was getting irritated with her normal girth and this girth has worked out well. Plus, I love that the sheepskin is removable. This is a wonderful value - I highly recommend!
