awesome
I was skeptical about getting results that were claimed. But my horse looks great, his coat is shiny, his eyes are bright, and he is somewhat darker after 40 days or so. He didn't like it at first and would turn his feedpan upside down. I would suggest starting out with a small amount and increase gradually.

My horse found this unpleasant...
As much as I wished I could get my horse to eat this (I've heard raves from others), my horse completely refused to eat his feed with this in it. As a result, can't rate it's efficacy. Hoping for a pellet form, but will have to defer until then.

Still Evaluating
My bay Arabian gelding has recently finished sheding his winter coat. He has been on Smart Dark and Hansom for about six weeks and if anything his "socks" are browner and his new mane hair is coming in brown, not black. The SmartPak may not yet be taking effect. We will give it another month or two and see if he darkens. Until that time, I can't recommend for or against this product. We have a half brother to him that is a dark bay without benefit of the SmartPak so we have a means to evaluate progress.
He didn't like the palatability for the first three days. Now eats his feed without hesitation and others in the herd have been sampling it.

BOSS Works Just as good
We had our AQHA gelding on this for a month and half,no change was really noticed. I did went back to using black oil sunflower seeds and noticed a large change in the same amount of time.. Just not worth it to me.

Really works!!
I bought this for my chestnut gelding even though it's more meant for bay and black horses, I was hoping that it would improve the health of his skin thus preventing a fungus he had last year. Well not only his skin shinier but his coat has gone from a dull orange-ish brown color to a deep rich red! Multiple people from my barn have come up to me saying that they didn't realize he was so red before. I was worried that my horse wouldn't eat the supplement but he actually licks it out of the bowl!

Very nice!
My horse is not a very picky eater....or so I thought...so when I heard all the reviews saying that people had troubles with their horses not eating it...I thought it wouldn't really apply to me and my horse. So, I bought the supplement anyway. And when I got it, I just gave it to my horse dry in his grain. And he was not having any of it! He just tipped the grain pan over and skipped his meal. I really thought he would NEVER skip his meal because grain time is his favorite time of the day! But no....not that day! So I asked my trainer about what I could do. She said that she usually just mixes the supplement with water into a paste form for her picky eaters. So, I tried it. But....my horse outsmarted me and just avoided it and ate the rest of the grain. So then I tried just diluting it with a lot of water. ( about 1 and a 1/2 cups ) he gets 3 scoops of grain, so I just gave him one scoop, put a third of the supplement mixture in, and then mixed it in with the grain. I did this with the other two scoops, mixing it together until all the mixture was all used. And then.....my horse ate every last bite! He was licking the grain pan by the time he had finished! I am so happy I found a way to make him eat it! I'm just posting this review so I can share my approach to other people. He's been on the supplement for about 2 weeks now....but I haven't noticed any color change yet. I have noticed a difference in the quality of his coat though! It's so much shinier! I will check in again once I see some results.
