Sergio Grasso Mantova Dress Boot 4.3 5 3 3
So comfortable The boots are extremely well made and comfortable! The zipper seems to be excellent and although I have not had them for years yet they seem like they will be durable and last a long time. They are great boots for the eventer as they look great in dressage, but are comfortable to jump in. Very happy with them:) April 1, 2013
gorgeous but not right for me These are gorgeous dress boots and fit like a dream. Why are they not for me? I was looking for boots for dressage training and showing and these boots are definitely more a kind of hybrid English dress boot. They are very soft (thus so very comfortable!), are quite tapered in the ankle, again more like a hunt seat boot, and have a styling gesture (a sewn-down strip at the top of the boot) toward a swagger tab. One could certainly wear them in the dressage ring, but to me they just didn't feel right for the job (my trainer, also a dressage judge, also thought they were gorgeous but didn't quite look the part for showing at 3rd and 4th level). I didn't really want to send them back (so beautifully made and so comfortable), but I also felt they weren't my dream dressage boots, especially for the money. Alas. But others might feel differently about the styling. August 20, 2012
Worth every penny! I've been riding in these boots for over 7 years now without any serious wear and tear! And let me just note that I wasn't always kind to them! I bathe horses in them, don't clean them as much as they deserve, muck stalls, turn out, daily riding for over 5+ years, etc. They've held up! I LOVE these boots, if I could afford it, I'd have 5 pairs, I lucked out and got them wholesale through a lucky encounter, but I would gladly pay retail for these beauties! Think of it as an investment, you really get what you pay for! Overall, a worth while venture!! August 4, 2011

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
