Regu-Mate Dosing Device 3.7 5 24 25
absolute waste of money DO NOT PURCHASE! I have had it, and it has been in use exactly 3 weeks (began use 3/21 and it is not 4/10). In the 3 weeks the hose has cracked 4 times (at first I thought maybe there was just a flaw in either end, but the hose has now been cut almost in half). The last crack caused the bottle of regumate to leak EVERYWHERE, approximately 3/4 of the 1000ml bottle has been lost. I am absolutely devastated at the $$$$ loss not to mention the health hazard for the cleanup. I would strongly finding a different solution to dispensing regumate! April 10, 2013
hose cracks I like how the dosing device is convenient but I've had the hose crack at the ends twice, and I've been using it only about 3 weeks. It sits on the ground and has minimal movement, so I'm not sure why the hose is cracking so much. It's caused some leakage, which I was hoping to prevent the accidental absorption of regumate by containing it better with the dosing device! April 6, 2013
One of the best things I've ever bought I have been using my dosing device since 2009 - the same one! Perhaps the tubing was better then, but I've never had to replace it; the only time I've lost any Regumate is when the bottle tipped over and a little bit oozed out. It's a breeze to administer the Regumate (I put it on pellets) and easy to get the correct dosage you need without any measuring. Sure beats putting on latex gloves and drawing it out of the bottle with a syringe. This has made my life infinitely easier, plus, the grooms don't hate me when I arrive at a show, mare and Regumate in tow. March 31, 2013
Not for the mechanically challenged! I have lost 1/2 a bottle of the Regu-Mate using this device. The directions are terrible. I admit I may not have been using this correctly, but RM everywhere. And it is so expensive, not something you want running all over the place. Not to mention the health hazards to humans. I have resorted to putting it into a manual dosing syringe and while not fail safe, it is going better. It is not a good value if you are not using it! March 15, 2013
Makes dosing super easy, but the hose split where it attaches to the bottle the second time it was used. Thankfully, since I read other reviews before purchasing, we kept the Regumate and dosing device in a bucket so we didn't lose any of the Regumate when the hose split. September 10, 2012
this is supposed to make it easier? I thought the dosing device was supposed to make administering regu-mate easier! I used this once and it was a mess. More came out the tube than it did in the horses mouth. I instead use a large syringe, it is A LOT easier. Less messy. I was bummed, what a waste of $45 bucks.. June 13, 2012
