Quic Black Shampoo 2.8 5 10 10
Waste of money! I bought this for my bay mare because in the summer she bleaches out really bad. I used this one her once and it turned her mane and tail red. I used it again a week ago and while she was still wet her coat turned red. She's now a splotchy bay. Don't buy this. It will also stain your hands.. July 10, 2011
Not the best product I bought this shampoo for my new bay horse because his legs, mane, and tail were pretty faded. It took a lot of uses to see a difference and it didn't really clean very well. I could tell some difference on his black legs but not so much on his mane or tail. Now I use this only on his legs. And it stains everything!! The shampoo is actually a very deep purple and will stain if you get it on your clothes. I don't use it much anymore because I have been taking good care of him since I bought him in '07 and he isn't nearly as faded. July 27, 2010
not impressed I was not impressed with this shampoo. It did not seem to clean well and I could not see that it enhanced my (faded) black mares coat at all. I let it sit for the full time and then tried to use it several times over a couple months with no change in her coat. July 12, 2010
Would not recommend I decided to try this because I have used and highly recommend QuikSilver. However, this shampoo is drying and gave my horse dandruff. I will stick with Rio Vista shampoos from now on. May 18, 2010
Not for Me I bought this and Used it for quite a while, but I never had any results. It never got out the red or put any sheen to my horse. I now use the gallop shampoo for my blacks and bays and its wonderful. I don't recommend this product. May 6, 2010
Worked well for me but. . . I didn't use it on my horses yet. I have shelties whose black coats sometimes bleach out or turn red due to various factors. Using this shampoo once or twice helps reverse the red tinge on mildly burned coats. Using this shampoo multiple times made a noticeable difference on coats that had reddened quite a bit. For my purposes, this worked like a dream. It DOES seem to take a few applications to darken to the desired shade though. October 14, 2009

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
