Excellent vitamin with a reasonable price jojo
I really like this product because I feel all horses need to have vitamins here are horses are deficient in selenium and iodine and this product has both along with everything else

Picky Papaw Horse approved
I have the crustiest, crunchiest under weight, most pitiful looking old man horse I’ve ever owned in my life. My friend rescued him and got him stable, then turned him over to me to make him glow and shine and enjoy semi-retirement. I take pride in being the resident horse nutrition guru at our barns and in our little riding group but my horse Walter humbled me quickly. No matter what I fed him he looked worse, I had every diagnostic done to find the reason he wouldn’t gain and I came up with nothing other than he “Dosent like his food.” I was like “well he eats it!” So I thought. He spits it out in random places around the paddock and pushes his bucket under the fence for his girl friend to finish as soon as your back is turned. I tried every nutrition and ration balancer in the market to make him gain in just forage (which he does enjoy) and he still looked so rickety the horse feds came to check in on him. After consulting with a nutritionist through a third party company they recommended a multivitamin like smartvite for him, this particular supplement boasted picky eater approved and I was skeptical that Walter would approved since he has turned every other picky eater approved supplement into confetti. But he loves it! He searches around in his alfalfa cubes for it every night to eat it first. He shed his ugly half winter coat, built some fat stores up, He is a lot brighter in the eye and his fur and skin and demeanor are so soft now. He is now a precious little papaw horse. He still looks a little crispy round the edges but he is much improved and I am positive he will continue to.

Wonderful product
This has been so helpful for my colt who I got from a rescue. He was under weight, his joints were in desperate need of nutrition and his immune system was suppressed. He has gained 53 pounds and looks amazing thanks to SmartVitw

Good vitamin, need better packaging
I switched three of the horses I care for to this supplement based on a FeedXL calculation. SmartVite Thrive was definitely the best value for money with the vitamins and minerals it provides and I was pleased to be able to make the switch. However, the bucket is very small and 3 horses go through it very quickly. I hate using all the plastic in the buckets, or even worse in 28 days worth of smartpaks for 3 horses. I want SP to sell its supplements in much larger, bulk bags for barns with multiple horses on the same supplement. Then I could just dump it into the bucket for serving. I don't understand why in the age of increased environmental consciousness SmartPak has not done more development in this area. I emailed them about it and just got linked to the same old blog entry about how their employees clean beaches and make popsicles from SmartPaks. That does not address the overwhelming amount of plastic they produce or the places that lack recycling for plastics of this nature. Plastic recycling is not working and not sustainable, we need another option. At least a larger bulk item would cut down on the insane quantity of plastic produced.

Great for some horses, not for others.
I bought this supplement for all four of my horses. They're all too easy of keepers to even put on a ration balancer and I wanted to make sure they were getting the vitamins and minerals they need.
Two of my four horses eat it without a problem. I haven't seen any changes externally, but I know they need it and it's doing its thing internally for them.
But, one of my horses won't eat it, no matter what "tricks" I try and another had a sudden, severe allergic reaction to it, costing me a good bit of money in vet bills.
Unfortunately, it's not a universal solution to every horse's multivitamin requirement.
(For the overall ratings, I'm averaging all four of my horses.)

Great for Easy Keepers
My horse is a super easy keeper and is in light work right now, so I wanted something that would provide him with vitamins and minerals, but without any calories. He eats this pellet completely plain, but pickier eaters may need something else added.
